We frame our projects with lead, zinc, brass and copper border came. We also have six-foot lengths of unfinished oak wood framing with a pre-cut channel to fit the width of our border cames. We'd be happy to assist you with framing your project with these materials.

Yes, we currently have 163 different colors/textures of Spectrum brand glass. Much of this is the "new" Spectrum, produced by Oceanside Glass & Tile. They have been adding more colors back into the supply chain throughout this past year. We're still far from the 500+ colors that were previously available to us, but the current selection contains many of the most popular colors.

You need to call the store they are getting their inventory back up since Spectrum changed hands. They are very helpful at the store & will gladly check their stock.

The goal is to use a soldering iron tip that will maintain heat and help you to apply solder where it needs to be without damaging the rest of your project. That is, we don't want the hot soldering iron tip to transfer a lot of heat directly to the glass, just the foil or the lead joints. We also don't want to have to go over the joints several times to cover it with solder. So, the joints of leaded panels with 1/4" wide lead came are well managed with a 1/4" tip. Narrower lead came, as well as foiled panels with thinner solder joints, are better soldered with a 3/16" tip.
