After all the negative reviews I want to let everyone know. Everyone was very helpful and we did not wait long. In and out in about 20 minutes. Plenty of staff social distancing. All and all a very pleasant experience.

I had been dreading changing my last name due to all the bad reviews and thought of having to wait in line for hours. I finally came and within 30 minutes I was in and out with my new last name. Not sure if I just got lucky but everyone was beyond nice/efficient and it was a great experience!

The security guys are not human, I went with my 7-month-old baby, they didn't let me take a seat, there weren't more people with babies, just me, with the sun that was outside they didn't care. They are not human at all

Would like the telephone number of Fort Myers office, I need to make an appointment..
how o I set up an appointment at the Ft. Myer office
I setup My social security access and can print letter directly from internet. If it's the first time logging in, they require a pin number which you must request in mail regular us mail and pin takes approx 1 week to arrive, after that you can login to your account and update your profile to include a cell phone, then in future you must put in username and password, and then social security text messages a code for secure login. If you need the info asap, your only option is to go to your nearest office and wait in line to get your print out. Now for children, there is no secure online access, you must go to the office to get a child's documents if they are under 18 it's the only way, actually heading there today to get copy of children's award letter. Hope this helps.

I am so sorry your loss. I can't image the pain you are all enduring at this time. I was able to find this information for you: If you are a U.S. citizen, you are able to continue to collect retirement, disability, or survivors' benefits while overseas. ... For non-U.S. citizens or citizens of one of the countries listed by the Social Security Administration, benefits end once you've lived outside the U.S. for six consecutive months. It is also best to just call them too just to double check. I hope this helps. Many blessings & Take care.
Yes, if you know your # its very easy. Give them the #, answer a few questions ( where you were born, parents names, etc...) Have your ID with you. Birth certificates do not count as identification
Good afternoon, as I know they are not going to answer you, right there you can make your appointment in Spanish, the officials who attend you mostly speak a little Spanish, take a mask because they do not give it to you.
Report the card as missing and then reapply for a new one.
And
Yes they are open also suggest making an appointment

As long as you get there before they lock the doors at 12 you should be fine. Their closing times are when they actually lock the door and won't let you in. If your in before they lock they will see you.
