Great service and customer service, all the people were so friendly. I was told walk ins are closed but there is one appointment available which I signed up for on my phone and got the service I needed. Albany DMV should have staff rotate here so they can learn some new things like customer service.

My father and I went to this DMV last Monday to do vehicle transfer ownership, two ladies (receptionist and an agent at desk number 1 - Shelly) are welcoming and well-organized. They were professional, respectful and extremely kind. We thankful for the incredible customer services. Keep up the great work.

This DMV is staffed by the nicest people! Everyone was polite and helpful. The facility looks freshly renovated, clean and welcoming.

The person at front desk who puts you on waiting list is usually good and helpful. Everything after that is downhill. This is a collective experience of coming here for last 4 years for license renewal. The window agents are clueless what to do with immigrant visa based drivers license applications. So they fax it to Albany and wait. That's ok. It's procedural. But to tell me - I don't know what is all this, What should I do with this document? I have told them atleast on 2 occasions on what they need to do to help me. 2 of 5 times when I have been here, they told me about a missing document (let's assume my fault), but when I ask them please tell me everything you need so on my next visit I can bring everything. They tell me, that's the only document you need. And then, non surprisingly, they would still end up asking me for another document that they never mentioned. I think they could do with more training on how to deal with visa based cases for drivers license. The people there stand long hours and definitely want to help everyone out, but they should know that we too share the frustration of extra paperwork for visa based license requirements. Please just be more empathetic.

You can't, they come in pairs, you would just get a new plate number assigned.
How do I sell a car what to do with insurance and plates
You can get a NYS issued ID - enhanced too if you want. They are only good for like 5 years. You need to make an appointment to get the ID.
DMV is open by appointment only. Call (518) 383-2480 extension 3921. More info https://www.saratogacountyny.gov/dmv/registration-renewals/
Yes
google 5 hour driving course near me or in your city and it will bring you to links of driving schools that offer them
They do take walk-ins but they can (and did for us 2 weeks ago) get to a point were they will let you wait but not guarantee you will actually be seen. We then made a reservation for the next week. Still waited close to a hour. But they did tell us that when we got there. Almost sad but had to go back to the DMV a couple days later but went to Ballston Spa this time. It was much faster and they don't take reservations in and out in 10 minutes
No need appointment and just bring you id
The title bureau is very backed up recently. New York State titles can take up to 2 months. Out of state titles can be up to 4 months. Overhead at DMV in Clifton Park.
Yes. If open, it will move to your new title. If it's paid off, ask the seller to give you an original lien release so you can remove it from your new title.
If you are just looking to renew without any upgrades, you just need to fill out an MV 44 and they will do an eye test and take a new photo. You'll get a temporary till your new license comes in the mail.
You will need the new federal license or valid passport starting May of 2023. Flying restrictions hasn't started yet.
Fill out a license renewal form, come in for an eye test and photo and you're all set.

Yes. If you have a Real ID license or Enhanced license you will need a new license with your address printed on it. That will cost $17.50.

No, you can live in any county and change your license for a NYS one in any location.
Starting October 1st of 2020, everyone is going to need one of three things to fly domestic flights, enter federal buildings, and some military bases. Those are a valid passport, a real license or id, or an enhanced license or id.
Wednesdays seem to be the less busy day, possibly the afternoon.

You may want to contact them directly for this as i do not believe they will help you from here.
