Morning I been going to the unemployment office every week now for months now because it always a problem I’m behind on my rent , bills and everything. Bills don’t stop at all and they don’t care at all . The reason That I’m on unemployment because my mother passed away in January. All they care about is a check not helping people. They need to do better because I’m Tired Of doing other people work

Trying to get a DOL agent who can help is a big joke! You get in an automatic attendant loop, have to leave a voicemail and get a message that the mailbox is full. There are other scenery I got into also, too numerous to mention. The service I received doesn’t even deserve a one star

The DOL should be ashamed of this whole process. I was not warned that this was coming, can't speak on that for others. The sign up did not go well at al. Help was extremely hard to get. When you could get a call back time, it meant NOTHING. I spent a total of 10 hours over 3 days waiting for a call back. Finally on the 3rd day, of the second week of roll out I FINALLY got help. Now, I will say that the woman who did help me was very pleasant and helpful. I was finally able to file for 3 weeks. I was told that the first week has to got to adjudication. So let me, THEY messed up, and I have to go to adjudication. I filed on Wednesday the 13th, I still have not received any funds. Normally I file on Monday and have funds on Wednesday. This whole thing has created hardship for so many people. The DOL should be paying peoples late charges on peoples rent! And I think the person in charge of this whole debacle should have their pay withheld until this is cleared up. They get only one star from me, but only beacuse I cannot post with none.

I have never dealt with such incompetence in my life! I have been trying for 2 days to reach someone in the office of adjudications . This is the office you need to contact if you've received a notice of a hearing! How can no one answer the phone? It rings for 10 times, and then just hangs up. People have questions about hearings. People need to change dates of hearings. People want to know outcomes of hearings when they haven't heard anything for over 4 weeks! How can no one answer? This is ridiculous!

CONNECTICUT is a at will dtate.Let this be known employer's do not have the right to fire you if you have medical problems. Just contact your American with disabilities. A.D.A Looks it up or Google it .Youll be surprised how easy it will help a employee who was hurt on the jod an fired for a medical reason. Fines are huge against companies. Thats one for the people !!

Same here...ridiculous...have gotten all emails, and paperwork in the mail stating all was good...3 weeks later..NOTHING. SAME thing last year.."someone" failed to release funds...REALLY? INCOMPETENT WORKERS.

Sorry about that,put you can go to your near employment office, we had about 17 location,there call them America Job center.we have 5 location that open Monday thru Friday, 8am to 415pm.there are Bridport,Hamden,Hartford, Montville,Waterbury.
Finally got through. Answering questions that came up. You are on hold but adventually They answer your call. Takes a lot of patience. Call early in the morning.

You need a 1099 form if you don't know how much you received in total. You should be able to access that info on the dept of labor website or do a Google search for "1099 unemployment CT"
Employers can take you away from you or give you more hours ... if you want to be dismissed ... the only thing they can not do is NOT pay you, that is against the law or to discriminate against you ... and if they pay you in cash (cash) it means that You are paying your Social Security, that is against the laws.
