I tried selling clothes to Plato’s. First off they only allow one tiny bag to be sold. Hours passed and I went back to collect my clothes and any money for what they bought and they told me they were closed due to no power. I do not live close by so I went home. They text me a few hours before closing and at that point it was horrible traffic and again I live far so not sure if I’d make it. They advertise you get store credit if you don’t collect that day which I was fine with. The next day I worked so obviously can’t come by- and it was their fault I couldn’t pick up the first time. I call the next day and they tell me they donated everything that was left and I won’t receive nothing. Not even store credit. So they get to collect what they want, sell it overpriced, and then give you nothing for it. Might as well just give your stuff away to goodwill so you don’t have to deal with these people. So frustrating. And instead of trying to be understanding they tried coming at me with “well at 4:24 we sent you a text” like I know how a phone works, I’m asking if I can receive my store credit not when did you text me.

waste of my time. i dont really care that my stuff wasn't taken, im just upset at the fact that i was given a wait time of an hour to an hour and 20 minutes. i checked in at 10:52 and wasnt ready til 1:06pm and all that just to tell me they couldn't take ANYYYYY of clothes at all cause they weren't "freshly washed" when some of the stuff i have in there haven't even been worn yet and i also had just taken some of it out the laundry yesterday. wasted part of my day. they just had so many things they couldn't possibly keep taking clothes. so say that and stop wasting peoples time.

Didn't take any of my name-brand clothes that were in good condition. Looking around the store I found clothes in worse condition than what I presented them with. I'm sure there are a few gems, but nothing better than your run of the mill thrift store for shopping and a waste of time it you're looking to sell here.

Terrible customer service. Yesterday I called about some shoes I saw on their Instagram and couldn’t make it into the store because I was working so I asked if they could ship them, as they advertise, the guy on the phone told me to message the Instagram account and ask for them to be shipped because that’s how they do the shipments. I hung up and immediately went on and messages the account explaining I had just talk to someone on the phone and they told me they were still available and that I was to message them about having them shipped. An hour goes by, so I message again explaining my concern about them being gone if they don’t respond and again how I would like to buy them and have them shipped. TWO HOURS goes by, I’m out of work and I call the store and ask if they’re available still, explaining to the employee the previous conversation I had and messages I sent, he said he saw I had messaged the account, but someone was walking around the store with the shoes as I called. I was very upset, I wasn’t mean but I explained how frustrated I was with the communication of the staff, someone should’ve had the shoes behind the counter two hours prior, immediately after I called. The first employee I talked to should've let whoever handles shipments know I was messaging and wanted them. The guy I talked to the second time told me he would message me if the customer put them down, never got a message. In my opinion he should’ve messaged me regardless, there was little to no apologies for their mess up. It is almost 24 hours later and still no one has even “seen” my messages. Very very disappointed in the customer service.

Plato's is my favorite store. I find there lots of nice stuff. I been their customer for as long as they been opened. They have brand names cloth and stuff at a very good price. I give tgem a 5+
I believe it depends on what the store wants at that point in time. I'm not sure if there's a limit to what they will take, but what they buy from you will depend on the season, popularity, brand, etc.
No, they sell 2nd hand clothes and accessories but only stylish items.
Face masks or coverings are required to enter the store. 6 feet social distance. Enhanced cleaning protocol is in place.
