I would like to echo what so many others said. Estero River Outfitters is not just good, THEY ARE EXCEPTIONAL!!!! Literally in every way. The level of customer service they gave when I bought my kayak was amazing. More amazing is the service they provide AFTER the sale is made. This is where most businesses miss the mark - but not here! Simply the best, I cannot recommend them enough. Thank you for all you did to help me, hope you know how much I appreciate you all. I am a customer for life!

Beautiful place to kayak. If you head upstream first, I suggest turning back when the current seems too hard to paddle against. We had a few people in our party flip their kayaks where the current got too strong and the river was fairly narrow. We rented for 8 hours, but would have been happy with a slightly shorter time frame.

Excellent customer service. Terrific equipment. A terrific outing; enjoyed the River, got the sun, but no wind. Recommend.

We really love this place. Free launch of our kayaks, great advice and great service. We ordered 2 Hobie kayaks. Took awhile to get them due to stupid pandemic. But we have thoroughly enjoyed. Recommend Estero River Outfitters

We can. Give us a call at 239-992-4050 and we will go over the details. We are open seven days a week from 7am-6pm. Talk to you soon!
Heading up river is very beautiful but it is definitely shorter than heading out towards the bay (about 4.5 miles away). You can go about 2 miles at most depending on the tides and water levels. We usually recommend that people head up river for about 30 minutes or so and then turn around and head down river for a while... this trip would take you through some of the most scenic areas around our location in both directions. You can't really go wrong whichever way you go... it is all beautiful! Hope this helps.
YES. This was the first place we had rented from after moving to Florida. We enjoyed it and they were so friendly and helpful with our questions that we later bought 2 from them. We were even able to try out different models first. Competitively priced as well.
Yes to both. Awesome place to rent and launch from. Such great people and the best rental rates around.
Yes, regular hours on the 4th of July 7 am to 6 pm. If you go, ask for Conner! Tell him I sent you!
We encourage one person from your party to check in while the rest wait outside. You can book online to minimize contact if you prefer. We sanitize paddles and other touchable surfaces regularly and will be glad to provide sanitizer/sanitizing wipes if you would feel more comfortable re-sanitizing before heading out for your paddle. Once you are on the water the rest is easy! Enjoy the fresh air and scenery that the Estero River provides. If there is anything else we can do to make you feel comfortable please let us know. We are more than happy to respond to individual requests.
Yes
We paddled East and had a scenic and mostly shady float. The water didn't look very inviting to swim in. I pulled out some bits of trash along the way.
Yes, we have launched our own kayaks from there
Yes we are! 7a-6pm
Yes, it is very beautiful. You can go about 25-30 minutes upriver from where we are located depending on the tide. One of our favorite routes is to go upriver and then turn around and go back toward the bay through Koreshan State Park. Hope to see you on the water soon!
They have a great soft rack. Ez on and off.
Yes you can, I've done it with our kayaks numerous times.
Kayak rentals start at $17.50 for a 2-hour rental; $5 more for a 3rd-hour, $10 for all day. No reservations needed! We are open 7a-6pm everyday. See you soon!
Depends on the Kayak.
