This is my favorite place in the capital region. The food and pastries are always amazing. And the boba!!! I order at least once a week. I got a mini bundt cake for my partner and I to share for my birthday and it was delicious. Also, I went to the Albany location to pick up some cookies and the person working drew me an awesome dragon on my to-go bag. Very cool!!

An amazing, unique gem of a place. Not only is it tons of fun to play board games from every era imaginable, their food is outstanding. I honestly can't pick a favorite, but the Phoenix Down sandwich is a big one. I'm the biggest fan of their sweeter fair - the butterscotch cookies are ridiculously good, and their drinks are awesome. I recommend the Greyskull for a unique flavor - I'd have never thought I'd want cinnamon in my coffee! I come here not nearly as often as I should. Food's great, staff is always kind despite their heavy workloads and these wacky times we live in. They make awesome cakes too and really made my birthday last year ultra special :) I can't recommend Bard & Baker enough, and I can't wait until my next visit!

My absolute favorite place in Troy. Amazing food, great drinks (both with and without alcohol) and honestly some of the best staff I have ever met. The owners can routinely be found behind the counter themselves, working just as hard as the incredible people they employ. Everyone has great suggestions when you don’t know what to eat, drink or play, and it’s always a welcoming environment. Not to mention their awesome events and how queer inclusive the space is. I take everyone I can there as often as I can. They value the safety of their customers and their staff, and did a killer job during quarantine to deliver smiles and great food and drinks all the while. I’d give them 13 stars if I could

Discovered this gem & my husband & I have been coming weekly ever since! Amazing atmosphere/music, incredible selection of fun games, great price for all-day game passes if you come during the week ($5 vs $10 on the weekend). AWESOME food & drinks. Get the Mac & cheese! (Especially the Buffalo chicken). And the Thai tea! Their tapioca pearls are flavorful & a great consistency. The best I’ve had. For games, we def recommend Time Stories & Obscurio!! We’ve been playing a new Time Stories expansion every week. The staff are so friendly & helpful, & are always willing to give game suggestions. My husband & I shared a Mac & cheese yesterday instead of getting our own, & it was impossible not to notice that they purposefully loaded the bowl up more than normal, & put in a lot more chicken. They’re just very thoughtful. We’ve brought family & friends here & can’t get enough. Good for all ages. You can also rent games to play at home, buy bags of delicious house blend coffee, and — randomly — you can purchase access to a printer. If I could give 10 stars out of 5 I would. **pictured are the Buffalo chicken mac & fancy Mac, & strawberry & oolong bubble teas! Oh, & Obscurio!

Hello! We are currently open for indoor dining at 50% seating capacity. All dine-in guests are temperature checked with a contact free thermometer upon entering the space. Masks are required whenever not seated at your table. Menus and tables are sanitized in between each use and there is a separate receptacle to place used menus. There are individual bottles of hand sanitizer at each table, as well as wall-mounted dispensers throughout the space and frequently touched surfaces are regularly sanitized by staff (door handles, credit card swiper, railings, etc). Currently we only accept reservations for up to 6 guests. All tables are spaced 6 feet to 8 1/2 feet apart, with 6 feet markers and arrows around the space to direct flow and social distancing. All board games played are placed in a 1 week quarantine and then fully sanitized before being put back into rotation to be played in store or rented for home. Our entire game library is available for rent to play at home as well. <3

Would this place be a good spot to write? Do they have outlets?

Hello - Thank you so much for your inquiry! We do not have any outlets available for charging, but there is free wifi available. We recommend any guests bringing a computer bring it pre-charged to maximize your time here. We have many guests who use the space to read, write, study, knit, or craft instead of playing games. We also have a PrintWithMe printer on site for any documents that you would like to print in store. Hope to host you soon! ^_^ <3

I have purchased mead by the can and several cocktails. Never bought beer but I'm certain they sell it, not draft.
