Great place! Wear flat shoes bc you will likely end up walking through grass between some exhibitions (there is a paved path, but some exhibitions are a little set back from the path).

I love this place! It’s quite large and so relaxing walking around looking at all the buildings. It is very nice and highly recommend.

It is a nonprofit, private museum that is funded mostly by admissions, donations and fundraising events. The museum hosts field trips and individuals year round Tuesday-Saturday.
The next one will be the last weekend in February 2019. Friday is the School Field Trip Day 9-1, then Saturday and Sunday Reenactments 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (Activities throughout the day) Battles at 2 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday. Lawn chairs welcome.
