Dr. Sloat and his staff were caring and professional, as usual!! went to Community Animal Hospital because our beloved Golden girl has diarrhea. We learned that she has a low-grade unitary infection. We are happy to learn about this infection before it becomes worse. As for the diarrhea, the sample is being sent to the lab for diagnosis. We will begin a bland diet for the diarrhea, and antibiotics for the urinary infection. Thank you Dr. Sloat!!! 👍

I first started coming to this animal hospital in the 1970s with my parents when I was a child and our animals always received the best care. During my adult years Dr. Sloat, Nurse Cindy, and his staff continue to exhibit the same quality of care just as the the former Dr. from the 1970s, 1980s, & 1990s. The current staff took care of my (2) late female toy and teacup poodles, who both lived to be 15 and they are constantly exhibiting the same level of care to my (2) male mini-poodles puppies. Community Animal Hospital cares, they’re honest, and their prices are fair.

Community' animal hospital keep my pets healthy. If there is a concern or semi emergency, they will work to get my pets in. Dr, Sloat has called after hours with results of tests. We have been going there for over 17 years.

We do offer boarding services for our clients. We'd be happy to set that up for you if you call our front desk at 717-845-5669. Thank you!
Hello, we can estimate age and address the vaccines and the diarrhea, however, we do not declaw cats. An exam, vaccines, dewormer and fecal testing would be around $130, but we encourage you to call just to confirm. We do take credit cards for the convenience of our pet parents. We look forward to helping you and your kitten!
Give them a call...they can give estimate!
We have discontinued boarding at this time due to COVID-19.
Only a rabies vaccination is required to get a rabies certificate. Be aware, though, that your pet will probably need a full physical exam before the vaccine can be administered. Your veterinarian can tell you what shots and vaccines are absolutely necessary for your dog and cat. They may discuss “core” vaccines that every pet should have, as well as additional preventatives that your particular pet might require. Costs for these additional vaccines should be minimal. It is important to remember that the the initial cost of preventative medicine is much less than treating a disease or infection later.
Yes. Health insurance for pets works a lot like health insurance for humans—there are premiums, deductibles, and various levels of coverage. It’s up to you to decide what level of coverage you think works best for you and your pet. Obviously, different coverage levels cover different services and procedures. Generally, more basic coverage will take care of routine office visits, checkups, and diagnostics while more advanced coverage might include prescriptions, procedures, surgeries, and treatments for diseases. Be aware that pet insurance plans will most likely contain certain
The microchip itself should continue working throughout your pet’s lifetime without any maintenance. However, the microchip won’t do you or your pet any good unless you have your contact details updated. If you move or change your phone number, be sure to update your contact information with the microchip manufacturer. That way, should your pet get lost or wander off, he or she will be returned to the correct and current address.
We do our very best to keep our spay/neuter prices low so that it is affordable. I can set you up with an exam to get you an estimate if you'd like!
You can use it for other things beside vet visits as well. I used it for my glasses
Not sure what the fee is but that is emergency surgery. There is an Animal Hospital on Queen St York. Good luck
An exam is $47. Two views of radiographs are $102. Sounds more likely that a Doctor might recommend blood work depending on the history. Give us a call- we can get you in today to see the vet.
I am so sorry to hear about your precious cat. It sounds like you are trying to do what is best for him. You would have to call some local vets to get your question answered correctly.
Most won't anymore. It's not medicinally necessary, painful and pointless
Hi Robin, that is a service we could provide. We would be able to give you a more accurate cost estimate for removal at the time of exam. Please call the front desk and we can set up a time to see your lab.
Hi Zackery, we can run a tick born disease panel called a 4dx. The cost is usually $40. I'm sorry we missed you, but please call back if you still have lyme concerns.
You pick them up at the office. Sorry for your loss
Yes they do. It depends somewhat on the animals size and what you want. I had to put down my cat in December and it was about $130. They are very caring and respective. Dr. Sloat is amazing, well the whole staff is and their attention to you and your animal is phenomenal.
You can get pet insurance from various companies but Community Animal Hospital can work with you to offer other options for pet care & payment. I believe they offer a Petly Plan which is a type of pet insurance.
An office visit. Then anything needed. Hope ur piggie is okay
You would have to call the hospital and give them specific information. Like how old it is, and how many and what shots it has. For boy kitties, age wise usually around 5 months ... their testicles have to descend. Hope you enjoy your kitty. I also recommend getting him micro chipped when having him under for the neuter.
They do have care credit. And their prices are very reasonable. I use them for my personal and fosters... and any strays I find.i haven't had a bill over 400$ for two dogs at the same visit for annual checkups yet.
