Our whole experience with Cat Sitting by Susan was very positive from beginning to end. I highly recommend them! During the initial 3-way video call I was able to meet Susan and her husband, Gregg, as well as our cat sitter, Dan. They were able to “meet” our two cats and we went over the instructions for their care. Susan’s team asked all the right questions and it was clear that they were taking careful notes. Payment instructions were simple and easy. Dan was very responsive and adapted to the needs of our cats. He enjoyed playing with our “greeter” cat who always met him at the door and, over the course of the week during his twice daily visits, he was able to get our nervous cat to warm up with his calm reassuring demeanor and he was rewarded with snuggles. We loved the communication after each visit including pictures and videos and a description of the visit! Our kitties are young and have lots of energy so we were happy knowing that they were getting plenty of attention and play so that they wouldn’t be bored and take out their frustration on the furniture or each other! Dan kept the litter boxes clean and tidy and even went above and beyond to completely reset one of the litter boxes that was being heavily used. He took excellent care of our two kitties (food / water / play / litter). It was our first time leaving them and we felt peace of mind knowing that they were in caring and competent hands. We love that this is a women-owned business and that they focus exclusively on cat sitting so they really understand and know how to respond to different cats and their individual needs. All of the sitters are cat lovers and cat owners themselves so they really know how to give the cats the attention or space that they need.

Emma is an amazing cat sitter who took the best care of our kitties and sent photo and video updates during each visit. I am wanting to post this review to wholeheartedly recommend “Cat Sitting by Susan” to anyone looking for a trustworthy cat sitter. This group is fantastic and I certainly plan to use them again. I am so happy that I took a chance to check if they had any openings, even though it was last minute. I was nervous to use a business that was not personally referred to me (I am new to the area), but Susan was in touch with me regularly by text and email, answering my questions and letting me know which employee was coming to my home. While I was gone, I got regular updates (texts and emails with pictures and videos) so I could see how everything was going and was reassured that these are clearly cat lovers. It all went so smoothly! Those other 5 star reviews are warranted. This is a great business and they are doing a great job!

This glowing review is long-overdue! My husband and I reached out to Cat Sitting by Susan in October 2021 for help with our three cats. (Our former cat-sitting service was not responding to repeated calls and emails, and we suspect their business did not survive the pandemic.) Susan was incredibly responsive and tech-savvy. She was able to conduct the intake call as well as the meet-and-greet with the cat sitter through a three-way video conference. This was super important to us during the pandemic. While my family was away, our cheerful and responsive cat sitter sent us photos, videos, and text updates on the status of our three cats. She fulfilled all of our food/water/litter/mail requests and left us feeling comfortable that our cats (and home) were in good hands. The daily rates were competitive (especially in light of the fact that we have three cats), and we elected to leave gratuity for our delightful cat sitter. Working with "Cat Sitting by Susan" was one of the highlights of this difficult time.
