Our North Port FL Police are the front line of a civil society. If anyone here even thinks of defunding our Police, go live in Seattle for a month. In 2020, I ran away from that upside down socialist society of do-gooders that at every turn did more and more to destabilize WA than help the perpetual bum state of WA. They helped my VN buddy ystrday that could've ended with very deadly results, but our professional officers took my brother in a non violent way to get him help he needs. Thank you North Port Peace Officers...

All of my interactions/experiences with them have been impactful in a positive way but two will always remain with me. Back in 2016 when my sister Kristina was passing of cancer they arranged Operation Santa and went above and beyond for her and her children making what we could not accept would be her last Christmas exceptional and taking many other burdens off of her so she could focus on her children and recovery. They made such a HUGE impact on my family and showed us that we were not alone in her battle. Joe Fussell in particular. Back in February my family and I were in a fatal collision with a street bike which would mark the scariest, most uncertain time of my life personally. Everyone involved was extremely professional, compassionate, thorough and trustworthy throughout the entire process ESPECIALLY officer Aaron Nick whom I cannot even begin to express enough gratitude towards for the thankless, tedious, tireless hours worked throughout his investigation. Absolutely an exceptional investigator. These men and women do not get enough credit. I have the utmost respect for everyone in this department.

Well in case you don’t know, I live in North Port Florida. I have felt very comfortable and safe in our community. I had my vehicle broke into a couple years ago and the North Port Police handled it very well. I was very impressed with the detective who handled it and his follow up about a month or two later. He was very professional and courteous. So I wrote all that to say this. Gage our 15 year old son bought a mini bike about a month ago. He has been pulled over by North Port Police and the Sheriff’s office just to make sure he’s being careful and wearing a helmet. Said they don’t care if he rides it, but be careful. So last week a North Port officer Nick chases Gage to our house and tells Gage to send out your father. So I go out front and the first thing Officer Nick says is “ Are you HIS father” pointing at Gage. I said Yes. So he says Gage can’t ride the minibike on the streets. I asked him, “ Why has he been pulled over several time by the police and they don’t care?” He says, I not going to have these riding around MY neighborhood and this is not something I want to deal with at 8:05 pm when I just got off at 8:00 pm” Come to find out he lives a few streets over from us. So I ask him if it’s OK to ride on the grass alongside the street? He says NO. So I ask him again why he’s the only Officer that has a problem with a minibike since I didn’t get an answer the first time. He say, “ If you don’t agree with the law I have a form you can fill out to voice your complaint about the law” I say, “ That would be great.” So he tells us “ give me 5 minutes I’ll get the form from my vehicle.” So 5 minutes later he comes back and hands Gage a citation and tells him to sign it. As Gage is signing it I ask him why he’s giving Gage a citation? He says,” If you don’t like the law you can tell the judge in court.” Then he looks at Gage and tell him “ If you don’t show up to court there will be a warranty issued for your arrest” OMG I lost it and said some things I shouldn’t have but you don’t thretten a 15 year old like that. He’s not out stealing or smoking weed, he’s riding a mini bike. So I then look at the citation and notice he put Gages Last name on it. We never told him his last name. So what we can figure is he ran my tags on my vehicles will writing the citation to see if I had warrants and that’s how he got his name. And since I don’t have any he decided to give Gage a citation. WOW. I then went to the North Port Police station two days later to speak to Nicks supervisor with Gage and he was off work. So I left him a message. Its now almost two months later and still haven’t heard from his supervisor. I thought we had a really different and community driven Police Department. I realize every department has someone who is tougher then others but I would think his supervisor would have reached out and showed Gage they really do care… So today we had court, we got an offer to pay the citation and agreed. So we are walking out of court and there’s Police officer Nick… he stares at Gage and says ( not so under his breath) “ of course he settled” and walks away… This Officer is why some people don’t like Police. Still haven’t heard from North Port Police department…. What a shame. A Police officer can bully a 15 year old kid.

Highly trained department with very caring officers. I recently had a blow out on my equipment trailer. Two very nice men, ofc. Sineath and Cook stopped on their way to lunch to help me. It must have been 95 degrees outside and they didn’t care. Both very good looking men as well, made breaking down an enjoyable experience. Rock on NPPD!

Exactly they been flying over my house like the FBI or ATF .. what’s going on??
They are looking for Brian Laundrie who lives in your area he murdered his girlfriend In WyomingAnd return to Florida without her
Kid is the biggest scumbag on our planet right now! 🤔 I am guessing that don't feel too great! However, Not too concerned with a grown mans feeling, More concerning is seeing law enforcement turn an let this case turn into a circus! What a shame on Florida law enforcement. This girl's family needs closer! And peace! Although it's been stripped from them forever! The moment they found out their daughter was no longer among the living.
Stop crying! Walk out an offer one if not all of them some help. Kindness goes a long way.
Why has the police not disclosed at least the basic info about this recent crime spree
Given the incompetence already shown they wont admit theve been led on a wild goose chase. Besides they are to busy spending overtime checks made during a search led by a tip by Baldo's upstanding parents. Wow. The search ends. Parents had to show police where his body is. This whole thing stinks
It's on North port police Facebook
I'd call the cops or post on Facebook not here no one checks it
Look on there Facebook for info if there is any
Go look on North port police Facebook it's on there it was two separate things
Who said it was approved? As far as I know, IF the PD were going to do something like that, the public would have been informed.
A very dangerous intersection. Chances are there was a bad accident I cannot say for certain but that would be my guess
Of course you should be concerned
Remember if Social Security is going to contact you they will do so by mail. Social Security and the IRS and a number of credit companies will not call you They will correspond by mail.
Could be a missing person, illegal activity, any number of reasons
Being a police department normally they are there 24/7
You can do it. Just make sure to put it out when you're done . don't burn underneath trees or next to dry grass or brush. Enjoy
