Friendly service and fairly busy for a weekday morning. Most breakfast items right around $10 or less. Only (slight) disappointment was that my omelette description included chorizo and, honestly, it was either missing or SO slim that I didn’t get any taste of that at all. Overall a nice downtown spot. July 6 **EDIT** July 24, I stopped back to this restaurant with my wife after my last visit. While the restaurant had quickly offered me a free meal after my review (thank you), I decided to try something different today and, honestly, the review was not made in any effort to receive a free meal. To be expected, Sunday morning around 10, the diner was busy so we sat outside and enjoyed the breeze. Food was good and the cinnamon roll with maple glaze did not disappoint. My wife’s breakfast, “Hometown Favorite” consisted of two eggs, home fries, choice of meat and toast… and she shared in the cinnamon roll. While our server was doing her best, it did seem as if she was pretty busy with orders from many customers and we heard her apologizing to several tables for various things (we had only forks… not spoon or knife as they were apparently not available, which I took to mean not washed/prepared?). While we were not ignored, we had a single visit during our almost 45-50 min meal (aside from taking/delivering our order and then bringing the bill). I may visit again on my next travel to Delaware, but it’s not on my list of places to exclusively drive FOR.

Amazing food! This feels like a more retro take on what Thurman's does, and that's a huge compliment! Vintage diner meets classic foods with a modern touch. Made to order with the utmost care, and perfect presentation!

Dave and I love to find local diners on our travels. Today's did not disappoint! The Hamburger Inn Diner was established in 1932. This little place is frozen in time and I am here for it. 3 horseshoe counters which I loved. They have beverages ranging from hand spun milkshakes, bloody mary, to draft beer. Their breakfast looked amazing. The guy beside me had pancakes and eggs. Our food was delicious! We both got 1/4lbs burgers which is their smallest ones. I can't imagine having the other 2 larger sizes. Too much food for me. The service was excellent also. Will definitely return when in the area.

Night crew was awesome! Our server Aviv was very personable and friendly, and the cook Branden, made my boyfriend and I the BEST burgers we have ever had hands down. Their fries are good and the buns are fresh and toasted to perfection. If you love affordable, classic American diner, you’ll love the Hamburger Inn.

For the inside, I lean towards no. Stools are not moveable, making it difficult to get comfy around the counter. Additionally the place usually has several guests at all hours and the pathway doesn't allow much extra space. The outside would be an option, weather permitting.
Hello Alex thank you for visiting our restaurant the health department informed us that it is a fire hazard for grill cooks to be wearing masks but my dishwasher absolutely should thank you for your concern
It's counter seating inside. 3 U shapes. The are tables outside on the front patio though. 😊
We don't I'm sorry but we do have a great fish and chips meal as well as a fisherman's platter
Always taking applications. Please call the restaurant for specific details about which positions they're looking to fill.
Seats? Probably 38 inside and maybe 6 tables outside in warm weather
