Have been going there for years. Love it. Whirlpool and sauna are wonderful amenities, good pool. Only regret is that when there is a class in the shallow end, lifeguards completely close down deep end open swim, which goes unused.

Front desk folks are wonderful. Lifeguards were very friendly. Plenty of cleaning supplies to keep everyone healthy

I recently called EG Y to add my son to the membership, and when I asked about the youth monthly fee I was informed that it would cost my $64/month for two youth memberships. The Y is not fully operations yet but they are still charging the members full price which is unethical. When I spoke to Sharon about this she reacted in a rude and unprofessional manner. This is completely unacceptable to me. If you are unwilling to listen and help your members then you should not be holding a key position. I would NOT recommend the EG YMCA to anyone looking to signup for membership. Absolutely ridiculous service. And most of the time their GYM is either closed or occupied for other events.

Mixed experience. The childcare & camps are FANTASTIC and my kids have gone for almost 10 years. However, my experience as an adult member for fitness has been pretty poor over several years. The pool is often visibly dirty- particles in the water, cloudy, and on some occasions, floating biological matter. When I brought this to staff attention they shrugged and said, "Yeah, it's gross sometimes." The men's locker room was often the same. At other times, the sheer amount of chemicals and smell from the pool caused me to having breathing issues on the track and serious skin irritation. I think the pool is overcrowded and the pumps simply can't handle the volume. At another Y I went to in CT they had pool break times for 1-2 hours during the day to let the filters catch up/ do spot cleaning, which alleviated such problems. Groups on the track walking 3 abreast or stopping to chat can also be an issue, and the staff do absolutely no monitoring. It can also be VERY difficult to get in touch with admin/billing staff regarding registration and issues. Overall, camp good, facilities marginal.

I'm not from there I'm from Albany NY I was invited to go swimming with my sister and it's a big pool there and we had a good time
Not Thursday night's because they play volleyball. Also monday,Wednesday and Friday they play pickle ball during the day so you can't use the gym then either. Other wise then that the gym is open for basketball
No. You don't get a discount just for working in the area. Prices are reasonable though, and they offer special pricing for students, seniors, and families, etc.
Yes. Your grandson. Have access to any capital district YMCA. The question is r u a member of the Y?
Your Silver sneakers membership allows your guest 3 passes a year. Your son should have no problem using the gym.
No, the old folks home is down the street.
There are so many different classes that are offered, both in the water and on the land. There are classes for beginners and for experts. If you have a specific class you want to find, you should go to the YMCA's website.
