Thank you 2 Wynanskill staff tonight 8/31/22. My mom was not feeling well during my visit. Mom’s Aide Janelle was alert and attentive. We sensed a fever starting so she asked Nurse Fanny to check mom. Fanny quickly got temperature, blood pressure, glucose readings, and contacted medical to get more testing ordered and a few medications to relieve and address a common issue that happens from time to time now at moms very advanced age. They are genuinely compassionate and concerned care providers. Fanny administered the medications quickly. Both Janelle and Fanny checked in several times in the couple of hours I was there and kept me well informed. They gave better care than any hospital in this area. This facility and staff are in my experience a cut above and they deserve to be recognized for their exceptional professionalism and devotion to the residents of Evergreen Commons. Hats off to all of you from the top down. I am so grateful and have peace of mind with my mom in your hands. Earlier Review: Gabby on 2 WW is so wonderful. My mom loves her. You don't have to even ask for help. She is right on top of everything and so kind and gentle.

My brother is at Evergreen Commons for rehab. He likes it, his room, semi private, and is large. He states that the food is good. However, sometimes the rest room in the hallway for visitors needs hand towels. Update: I received a telephone call from someone in administration who wanted to follow up on my comments. She stated that she would address each issue, and there were at least three, with the appropriate staff. I appreciate their reaching out to obtain more information from family members. Post discharge update: While my review is positive, my brother, who was the resident, brought a couple of issues that he has concerns with: 1) Business Office staff sent me a bill for his stay. Brother is competent and alert. Said Business Office staff emphatically "requested" balance due on his bill. My sibling has other financial obligations in addition to paying his portion (after medicare and Medicaid). The interaction was in his semi private room, his roommate was his own side of the room but was quite able to observe and hear the heated exchange. So much for discretion and privacy. Apparently, my brother had already paid almost half of what the staff person was requesting and insisting that his other financial obligations be put lower on the list. My brother was told by three other staff that the facility accepts payment plans. Upon discharge, the unit nurse supervisor/manager gave me his medication to bring home. I received a brief description of what was in the box but not what all of the medications are and how to take them. This nurse manager was outstanding to interact with when my brother was a resident. Our concern is that my brother is independent in taking his meds. He was upset that the meds were given to me, not him. I explained that she seemed to be in a hurry. I had no other answer for him.

This rehab center is top notch!!! I am a nurse so I have seen many things. The staff are attentive, caring, excellent caregivers, kind & compassionate!!! The PT & OT depts are spot on, very skilled & very much dedicated to each patient doing their best!!! This place has been such a blessing in my life! ☺️👍

The best work team that I have ever been on. Not only do we care about all our residents and families but we care about each other. We are a great team and I think it shows!
