Everything about this park is nice. I like how Heritage Village now has a connecting walkway to Botanical Gardens. The houses and buildings at Heritage Village are nicely restored and even have that "old smell". The little shop at Heritage Village, while I've never seen it open and don't think it's actually a functioning store, is a cute touch with the signs that say "Hiring .06¢/hr" and the prices of things from back then. The train is pretty neat too. I love how most everything is hands on too. Walking through the Village and the Gardens takes some time. There's a lot to see. This park is really one of my favorites because of the variety of exotic plants, the wildlife, the nature walks on the boardwalk, the vintage homes and the history behind them, the edible garden...so much more...and it's dog friendly and wheelchair accessible.

Yes the Heritage Village is full with interesting history and NO I never came across any ghosts but I was never there at night, I am sure there are GOOD ghosts ...
Yes, I bring my little dog quite frequently.
It's free to visit. Those that man the gift shop will try to answer questions, plus some houses have guides that can tell you about that house and the guy at the country store is very informative.
They are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.
They are open to walk around but buildings are closed due to Covid. It is still a nice walk. Just can't go inside the buildings
I believe they open mid next week
Yes. A few are still under renovation. Those you cant go through. The 7 gables and one other they have tours every 30 minutes.
Wasn't sure...this is what it says at their site: http://www.pinellascounty.org/Heritage/private-events-weddings.htm Private Events / Weddings The buildings and areas within Heritage Village are not available for hosting private events. However, the Parks and Conservation Resources Department has many other sites available. I know people take wedding photos there... I thought that used to have private events, but I guess not any more? NOW I see the FL Botanical Gardens there do weddings: http://www.flbg.org/private-events-weddings.htm
Depends on the house. Some yes, some no. Other air-conditioned areas if you get hot.
Closed Monday and Tuesday but opened 10-4 Wednesday through Saturday and 1-4 on Sunday.
No, but it's about a 10 minute walk to a Wawa, a Village Inn, a Savory Restaurant, or a China Gate. If you don't mind walking 10 minutes away or driving 3 minutes away.
At Christmas the Bontanical garden (adjunct to Heritage Village) puts on a wonderful lights display & Santa is there at select times. In addition the are stands to buy snacks & drink & live entertainment.
They have a flea market as part of the Country Jubliee. I see that someone already said it was on October 28. Watch for it next year! :)
The next event is Country Jubilee on October 28th, 10 am to 4pm.
No cover charge. Regular hours are free and most events are free admission. However, donations are always welcome.
