Very quiet and quaint family oriented community . We have lived here a week so far and feel right at home ! Our townhome was very clean when we moved in and the office staff is so helpful .

1. Poor customer service 2. Lack of Transparency Let me start with how these people act all caring when you are applying. They act like they are really listening, but they don’t, they only care how to get that cash even if it means hurting the people they claim are their valuable customers. I am not a snake friendly person, so it will be understandable to be terrified when I encountered one. I cannot remember when I have lived in a place where Big snakes crawl around, and no one deemed it fit to explain that tenants could encounter snakes in the area be it “Guardian Snakes” or whatever it is called, but the nonchalant attitude from the front desk representative when I reported the incidence spoke volume. Secondly, I was informed over the phone while I was preparing to move out at the end of my lease, after several back and forth calls due to the situation, as long as I moved out last day of March, 2022, I could put in a 30 day notice by Kathy. After a few weeks, I called to get my deposit Only for them to say whatever was said over the phone cannot be held as valid unless it is in writing. So, the apartment held back my deposit and charged me for some damages I never saw or they might have manufactured after I had left the apartment sparkling clean- I was still billed for only God knows what, and they still want an extra amount, almost $800 after keeping my deposit of about $1330. Not surprised, they were quick to sell the amount about $800 to debt collection. Don’t even bother to reach the top management, they are the same, they want quick money. I did that, and nothing positive came from it. Unfortunately, I do not have that money to pay dubious people. If they had been transparent to explain that the 30 day notice will not work, and if I chose to still move out, that I would be charged for April whether I stayed or not, then It would have been my choice to stay or leave and bear the consequences, rather them trying to cheat hardworking residents of their money by being tricky and thinking it is a smart way to make extra money from people. If you are a new resident at Carmendy Square at Lady Lake, I would advise you to do all your dealing in writings, make sure you check all the faults in the apartment and get them to fix it before you leave or while you are still in there- else you will be paying for damages you don’t even know exists. And those blinds…pull to make sure they are not falling on you especially when you are asleep. Don’t be fooled by the fresh paints. Again, do your notice in writings for move out because they confirmed their words are not to be trusted. If possible, three months ahead of time so they do not give you any excuses. Hope this helps someone. Thank you!

I lived in Carmendy for almost ten years. Not many rental units in this area that give you this amount of square footage for the price. Area is quiet, management and maintenance crew are very helpful and respond in a timely manner. I loved that it was just down the road from several shopping centers. Great place to rent if you have a small family. Would definitely live there again.

Old homes, basically no windows, the management is weak and lazy. We stayed 6 months and it was the worst period in our life. They started increasing the rent after 4 months by giving options to extend. When we went out after 6 months they charged for stupid things like a bubble, imagine a bubble. I just don’t understand how owners don’t see the mismanagement there and don’t do surveys.
