Sending emails like scam with charges never seems before. No regular official mails. After approaching the administration nicely, they are still happy to charge late fees associated to scam emails for customer that otherwise has never missed a bill payment within prescribed time.

Back in 2017 I didn't know about the new owner has ten days to show proof of ownership or the water will be shut off from the date of closing to provide North Port utilities with a copy of the signed proof of ownership documents. Because I was in New York city and the realtor did the paperwork for me and I electronically signed for the warranty deed. In Florida people buy property without a lawyer I didn't know that. I told the person at North Port utilities the 10 day limit should be charged to 30 days because many people don't know about it if they are coming in for other states. And the real estate people usually don't tell you I had to fix the problem myself Obviously at North Port utilities they don't care if service is turned off. And the billing is expensive for water and sewer charges.They will find any excuse to turn off water. Sure there are not the ones that are stinking. I also had to pay an initiation fee. And no one called me to let me know. And the water will be turned off if you are only a few weeks late when there should be a grace period. What should be taken into consideration is sanitary conditions people can't flush toilets shower wash clothes etc especially for women who have their periods they need to wash themselves. Why don't all the states go back to flat fee system instead of those defective water meters.

They shut off our homes water during the holidays. They came to the door quietly to leave a shut off paper when Instead they could of knocked on our door to warn us and see if we could possibly make a payment?. We paid at 8 a.m in the morning the next day and our water still hasn't been on. It's 1:30 p.m and my kids need a shower.

I didn't get a notification either. Lots of us do not take the paper nor do we subscribe to cable tv. I learned about it from my sister who lives in Venice. They have no problem letting us know about our bill by text.
