The library is great but I didn't know the Little pantry outside was for food and I was donating books and these two old ladies verbally attacked me and then took all the books that I put in there and threw them out so there are many books outside on the ground or now in a box because of two old ladies. I didn't know it was a food pantry usually those boxes are for book donations. I'm also not from St Pete so I wouldn't have known this I just think that was very rude you get verbally attacked from old ladies coming out of the library.

My kids and I come here every 2 weeks, give or take. One of the joys of being a dad is coming to a quality neighborhood library, such as the Gulfport one. What a great place

Lovely staff and amazing book selection, especially their (literally award winning) LGBTQ collection! They also host a wide variety of community events and provide space for things like AA/NA meetings, fundraisers, plays, (I could go on...).There is lots of seating and a beautiful reading garden. That being said, if you are someone who requires peace and quiet in a library this is not the place. The staff do their best to keep the noise level down but this is a very popular library, especially for little kids.

I am not an affiliate of the library, but a patron. As far as I can tell the hours of operation are still as set per normal. For the cost of faxing, if memory serves me correctly, I think it is $0.20 a sheet.

No. We can extend the time for you if there isn't a wait for the computers. Just ask the women at the front desk to extend your time on your computer.
I think it only goes thru July and its around noon not sure if its daily.
This year, we are having the free AARP tax volunteers every Monday from 9:30 am until 2:00 pm and every Friday from 10 am until 3 pm. There are other locations around the county that offer this program (specifically libraries). The circulation desk has a copy of all of the locations, hours and schedules for these tax services as well.
