Customer Service online & in person was 5☆ all the way! On premise, waiting outside in 96° heat, not a perfect scenario BUT my issue was resolved (for now) and everyone was helpful knowledgeable & kind.

I have been trying to get help since December 2021. Ms. Harvey called and did an interview over the phone. It was all set, I just had to fax over some documents. I did fax everything she asked and when I called to confirm she received the paperwork, the agent said yes and said she will call me in a few days •January I called to speak to her 17 times (no answer or call back) •February I called to speak to her 13 times (no answer or call back) •March called to speak to her 22 times (no answer or call back) •April, I setup an appointment to speak to her, she said she will call me at 8:30am. Never called but put a note in the system she called 4X. She called at 9:00am, I work with a surgeon and I have patients. When I tried calling back I left so many voicemails. No answer or call back. At one point one of the agents chatting with her while I was on hold through a chat system, said and I quote “well I don’t want to ask her too many questions and she stops responding to me” I went in person and Mrs Barraza was AMAZING. She is in the process of helping me, even though it’s not her case. She was extremely kind to me and told me she will personally help me.

The employees at this field office are incompetent and this field office needs to be shut down or investigated. My husband and I Have been trying to contact This field office directly for several days! every time we call, employees would answer the phone and hang up in our faces or we would get the runaround on who to speak to regarding a situation regarding Social Security disability benefits. Many of the employees at this field office are known for providing false information to clients and customers just to get them off the phone and it just appears that many of these employees are just incompetent. I would definitely not recommend conducting any business at this field office.

Currently all SS offices are closed and not open to the public. This is definitely an inconvenience and I was very nervous to mail sensitive information to/from the office. I thought it would take a very long time to get my information. However, within less than 10 days I had all of my documents back AND my new card. I was pleasantly surprised by the quick turnaround and that none of my documents were lost in the mail. Tip: Send your documents certified and/or insured and with "priority" shipping so it arrives as soon as possible. Make sure you call first so you know exactly what is needed before you start mailing. They are willing to work with you and answer your questions.

Can I get a replacement card at this office
They reopened all offices in U.S. in April so u should be good to go. I got that info straight off the official website.
2 hours at the office, if you are early and 10-14 days for the card to be mailed
YES it is. They say u need an appointment on everything u read but when u go in and sign in they add u to the line up. And u can go anytime before they close. Which was at 4pm so u gotta wait till Monday. And u should get thru pretty fast, or at least faster than being there to see someone for new issues. They actually ask at some point if that's all ur doing is bringing paperwork in and that gets u called up to a window quicker. Good luck.
In addition to what Adrian McCallister said your state has to be in the pilot program which Florida is one of them
Early morning or 1hr before close. There is a security screening area much like a airport. All bags are checked. Metal detector so you may have to remove shoes.

This and all the Social Security are gonna be closed until monday 09/18/2017 due to Irma Hurricane.
Suggestion. Make an appointment. They get very busy & the line extends outside. In brutal heat.

Appointment only over the phone
I don't think so. That might require an appointment. I think it's better to call the office and check.

I don't know but you can call to see.
I don't know. You have to call and find out.

Yes
Yes you can. And many things can be done on line.
No but you will wait for over 1 hour to be seen. It is recommend to make an appointment.
I agree, it's best to make an appointment. If you don't the wait is not real bad. They are very quick.
No
No. But having an appointment makes the time spent there a lot shorter.
Mon,Tues 9-4 Wed 9-12 Thurs-Friday 9-4
Go to SSA website. There is an option to make an appointment that will suit your time frame most of the time. You can call but be prepared to wait a long time. Website is much more convenient if you can't sit on the phone for long periods of time. Plus, it's available 24/7.
Yes you can. This office does not have a drop box though so you would have to wait for someone to call you. You can mail in your request and we process that the same. Once delivered, call back a week after to check on it.
Go to www.ssa.gov and look for the Social Security Card information page. All required docs will show up once you have selected your options.
Mail is fine. You will get a letter like a week after the input confirming the change. So once mailed I would say call us to confirm if you want. Give it like 2 weeks before calling just to be safe
M T TH F 9-4 WED 9-12
If you have never had a number you will need the birth certificate. If replacement card maybe just your valid id
When a COLA is announced, it applies in January of the corresponding year
No
Yes do u have the direct express card
Call the office
Neither. Go to ssa office with your naturalization certificate.
Try not to have to go to the SS office if you can help it at all. Long waiting times, lots of people, and overworked and frustrated workers make for a bad experience. Over the phone is about the same, and you will have to check daily to make sure you got across what you need it. Many times they do not do what they are supposed to do and you find out too late. Overall they are rude, incompetent and unprofessional.
It's the best option to schedule an appointment, that way you will have preference over the people who don't.
You can but it takes months to get an appointment..... you're better to go as a walk in. They open at 9 best to get there by 830 in line!
Well it's been over 2 weeks and I haven't seen it yet.
I received mine by mail after 7 days.
