While I somewhat appreciate what policy enforcement does, they don't have any responsibility other than to the state, their boss. Their response time and care for the community needs a lot of work.

My sister and cousin and I were returning from a Florida vacation. we heard a banging noise on right side of van as we were traveling north on 95. Got off at next exit, the LPGA Blvd exit in Daytona. Pulled into Buc ees and got out. Something on the right side was barely hanging on. Most of it dragging on the ground. We limped around Buck ees hoping to find a trucker who could tell us where a car repair place was. Found a Marion Sheriff’s truck and asked the sheriff getting gas where to go. He looked at it, got down on the ground and told us someone had just zip tied it on, cut it off for us, told us we’d be fine without it, it was a cover to get a bit more gas mileage, we put the piece in the back of the car and we’re on our way again. 💕 Maybe about 9am, May 25. Sorry we did not notice his name. 😢. But thank you so much for the rescue!!!

Bad service in the NW side of Marion County called various times for speeders and loud music and the operator states they are undermanned and 911 calls are a priority first which I understand but maybe if they did more patrolling and less hiding the crime rates would come down. Pro active law enforcement is better than reactive to the calls and actions after all we are paying for the gas and equipment to keep us citizens safe as taxpayers

Marion County Sheriff's Office came to our rescue on 7/31/21 in the Halpata Tastaniki Nature Preserve. Myself and 2 female companions decided to go for a nature walk while we were in town. We had just came from enjoying a kayaking trip down the Rainbow River, had lunch at Swampy's bar and grill then decided to do the nature walk. We were still in our kayaking attire. The females had on swim suites and flip flops and I was in swim trunks and water shoes. Some 5 hours later after running out of water hours before and still trekking through the forest it became apparent that we were lost. We tried following the trail guide pictures but it didn't seem we were getting any closer to the exit. Now late afternoon the sun starting to go down and mosquitoe attacks getting worse. We tried gps on our phones but that was spotty at best and did not give good guidance on the trail. A call was placed to the Marion County Sheriff's Office 911 center and they immediately dispatched officers to assist. Another hour later after standing in 1 location to be rescued we heard the helicopter so we stood out in the open and waved. They did a water bottle drop then used the helicopter to guide us along a path where we were met by deputy sheriff Bozniak (hope I spelt it right). He jogged in to meet us and gave us some more water. He walked with us to an exit where we met up with another officer and they both transported us to our vehicle which was parked at another entrance to the preserve. The ordeal was over. We were sore, exhausted and dehydrated. Thanks to the Marion County Sheriff's Office, the 911 dispatcher, the helicopter crew and the rescuing officers. We are extremely grateful.

Yes you can... I'm a free Civil and Human Rights advocate and have worked many Civil cases... After 30 days... The property your tenants left behind, it is then considered abandant property... You have the right to sell, destroy, haul to the dump or give away anything they left behind. Good luck ~
