I don't leave reviews often, but I wanted to give recognition to the officers of the Clermont Police Dept. Today around 8:15 am, after dropping the kids off and going to UPS, I made a “questionable” turn out of the parking lot. Immediately a police officer in an SUV stopped me. He was very professional, listened to my explanation, explained his side, and did it all efficiently and with kindness. I left my traffic stop thinking the officer not only cared about the residents and safety but was also a good guy. How often do you leave a traffic stop with positive feelings towards the officer or police department?? Clermont is very fortunate to have such outstanding officers.

Thank you Clermont Police for assisting me when my car broke down and was in a dangerous location. I appreciate the 4 officers that ensured my safety. It is so sad to see the other comments/reviews bashing the police. I appreciate the fact that the Clermont police put their lives in danger daily!

While helping a homeless woman, they rolled up and asked for my id. When I asked " what have I done"? They threw against the car, handcuffed me, and took me to jail. All for giving a woman 10.00. No law was broken, but they charged me for resisting arrest peacefully. I know my rights, and I'm filing a complaint against both officers. I committed no crime.

These police officers definitely need more training with writing reports. They will do anything to make the news or make rookie of the year. It doesn’t take four officers to show up for a call. They enter your home, walking in and out of the house like they own the place. Officer C. Baez #243 recently made a false report in retaliation that did not include statements from everyone that gave one. He lied because he was not provided with video footage that could not be obtained. He even left his clipboard behind for another officer to finish his job and to take statements. I don’t feel safe in my own community, with officers like Baez. Especially when they can provide false information about you, while lacking the core values and mission of the Clermont Police Department.

I have a problem with the handicapped parking lot, anyone who does not have a handicapped card can do it
No. That was a false rumor spead throughout social media.
If your credit card has been used without your permission and you choose to report it to law enforcement, you would need to get with the agency that has jurisdiction over the store it was used in.
Peter, in a multi-family dwelling, 9 p.m. is the latest they can make noise and 7 a.m. is the earliest they can make noise in Clermont. I'm a Clermont Police officer. In general, noise from any device can't be felt or clearly heard at 25 feet or more from such device. Multiple violations will be sent to code enforcement and they determine a fine.
