Avis, We picked up our rental car on Sunday, May 22nd around 8:30am from Clearwater Airport and returned the car ahead of schedule on Monday, May 23rd at 6:12am in the Orlando Airport Avis drop off point. We left the receipt for gas refill in the passenger seat and proceeded to ask the Avis employee that was scanning the cars, if we were all set and he said yes, we were all set. Today, Wednesday, May 25th, we were charged over $376.27 (reference: the original fee for this rental was only $85.15), claiming we did not return our car on time. The scheduled return date was Monday, May 23rd at 8:30am.. we were over two hours ahead of schedule because our flight was for 8:10am back to Detroit. We have proof of the car return with the photo we took of the car at the drop off point. This photo has the date, time stamp and location of the car. We also have proof of our boarding passes and flight information proving we were already back in Michigan when they claim our car was returned. Not to mention they could pull up video footage of the parking garage and see when the car was returned. The lack of organization and communication within the Avis company should NOT be an expense your customers are paying for. Not only was this uncalled for and unprofessional, but it was an inconvenience and hassle when my self and my boyfriend (Card holder) had to call multiple times through the day, while we were at work, trying to get this resolved. We were both hung up on. Rafeal, an Avis representative, was rude, unhelpful and hung up on me. Michelle, another Avis representative, provided a claim number and said it looked like the car was turned in on time from what she seen on her end. We are baffled at this horrible experience and would hope to be compensated with a refund from this company to make things right. Unfortunately, we cannot get through to someone who can speak english and properly work through this issue with us. Pick up and drop off procedures should really be improved.

75 people in line for an hour now. One person behind the desk who barely appears awake let alone in any urgency to help this group of thus far stranded travelers. Do whatever you can to avoid. Swimming or walking at this point are much more viable options. The illusion of having your name on the board, grabbing a car and starting your vacation makes you think of dipping back into the car rental experience. Don't fall for it. This place makes the discount airline you flew in on feel like paradise, TSA and all.

We were very pleased with our experience. Chris was very helpful and upgraded us into a bigger SUV, which we were very thankful for because we did not realize how small the car was that we had reserved and we were traveling with 3 small children! It was nice to have the extra room. Both the pick-up and drop-off process were very smooth. The added bonus was the Amazon gift card that was emailed to me after the transaction was complete! We will definitely use Avis again!
