Alamo is the cost effective version of the Enterprise fleet of cars. For those who did not know, Alamo and National are both part of Enterprise. So you get the same benefits as the other two, but at a cheaper fare (in most cases) when you book through Alamo. The car was clean, fully tanked up and the check out, check in process was smooth. We also did not experience any issues with the car like we did when we rented from another company before. We went through several tolls and got billed for it later through Alamo, so no hassles there either. So overall a pretty good experience renting with Alamo.

When I arrived at PIE Airport (St Pete/Clearwater) on 5/12/22 I met with Tonya the Alamo Representative. I explained I had used Alamo almost exclusively when I traveled to Florida 29 times during the past 2 years. I made an advance reservation as always, but this time the rate was double what I was use to paying. Tonya was very friendly, cheerful, and professional which was refreshing. To my surprise Tonya was able to help me obtain a more reasonable rate. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciated Tonya's help! She made my day! I hope she gets to see this thank you from a very happy Alamo customer! Rick Colvin

I did the skip the counter online before our trip. Walked out to the rental lot, the attendant looked at my print out, pointed to the car and we were off. The car we got was a nice clean VW Atlas at a reasonable price. Returning the car was just as easy, very friendly parking lot attendants on top of it. Will rent from Alamo again next time.

Ease of service was good. Check in and check out process was good. Some features of the van did not work. (i.e. air conditioner for rear passengers, auto stop/start was disabled.) I will still use Alamo next time.

We had the same problem wirh a late arrival, however someone was at the counter and we had no problems with getting our rental.
we are flying Allegiant airlines with our arrival time been 11:44 PM ,your office closes at midnite, how do we pick up our rental car which is already paid for? thanks,Don Foster
There is a shuttle
I would call and check just to make sure
Very easy. Just follow car rental signs while entering the airport and there will be a person there to greet you in the parking lot.
They will stay until everyone is taken care of.
They usually do. The have better availability than other companies.
It is less expensive if u call directly to Alamo. The deposit depends on the type of vehicle you select to rent.
Yes
I don't think so as long the car is returned clean. However, if you return it with the sand you would have to call and ask them. In my opinion I think they will charge but, call them to make sure.

Yes
In the parking lot across from the terminal. There should be someone on duty to check it.
They do not like to take cash credit cards only watch your bill there's always something extra added my experience
You have to go to the counter
Usually there is a drop off box, but you should confirm
I would imagine since Alamo is all over the country. When making the reservation choose a different drop off location and put the closest one in Maine.
If you are flying in and out of the same airport and can show your itinerary, yes. They gave me some trouble about using mine because I flew into one airport and out of another nearby, so they considered it a one-way rental.
Yes, it's likely that you CAN, but it's even more likely there will be a significant "drop fee". Call the rental agency for the details.
If you are doing a round trip rental and have an itinerary (flight, bus, etc) to show return date, yes. They gave me a hard time because I flew into one airport and out of a different one, so I had a "one way" rental.
