I am new to the area and feel so fortunate to have found Sunshine Electric. Office staff was very efficient from start to finish. The technician, Jacob that came to my home to provide me with not one but three estimates based on me adding or removing various tasks was Excellent. Jacob also did all the work smoothly and efficiently the very same day. He was patient with ALL my questions, double checked everything at the end of service. Jacob is Very knowledgeable didn't leave me with anything to clean up or dispose of which I greatly appreciate. Sunshine Electric will be my go to company in the future based largely on Jacob's skill set and demeanor. Thank You

Henry and Ryan did a fantastic job with some major electrical issues at our home. They evaluated the entire 50 plus year old system and gave us multiple options to complete the repairs and bring it up to current standards. The entire time they were prompt, courteous, kept us informed in every step of the process, and left the site neat and clean each day. I would highly recommend Sunrise Electric, and especially Henry and Ryan!

George F. was our tech for electrical troubleshooting and repairs. He was on time, knowledgeable, detailed and explained our options after detaching the source of our issue. George repaired our electrical issue quickly and thoroughly. We were very pleased and when the time comes for upgrades, we will be requesting George! The customer absent that I spoke with when setting up the appointment was wonderful as well. (Thank you!) I absolutely recommend Sunrise Electric!

We called Sunrise Electric(Columbia,SC) on Wednesday to have someone check out the switch of the light over the sink. They were able to come out on Friday. The electrician, Chris, called before the scheduled appointment at 11 due to him finishing another service call early and thanked me for being able to accommodate the change(customer service at it's best). He then was able to troubleshoot our problem quickly and found it to be just a bad light fixture. No charge for the visit. Seeing this is something I can do myself, I was relieved to not have to pay out lots of cash for an issue I thought would cost more. Chris was very professional and had great customer service!!! I would vote for an increase in his pay if the offer is on the table, which it should be!! Thanks Sunrise Electric for having a great person working with your company.

How do I know if my electric panel is one that's recalled?

Hello Lorna, A recalled electrical panel in your home is uninsurable and extremely dangerous. There are 3 brands of breaker panels, that may still be in homes today, that are recalled. They are Zinsco Breakers, Federal Pacific Breakers (FPE) and Challenger Electric Panels. These panels have been linked to thousands of electric fires and even deaths. They were put in homes built from the 1950's to the 1990's. To check if your panel is recalled, take a look at the brand on the panel. This can be a sticker or an imprint on the metal. If you have a recalled breaker panel in your home it's best to replace it immediately by a licensed electrician.
