TL:DR As someone who LOVES Chinese food, I would advise against this place for multiple reasons. Mediocre food, horrific customer service, lack of rice w/entree, high prices, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Anywhere else. More Details: After placing an order for delivery, early evening on a Wednesday, we were told the food would be delivered in an hour. After 75 min, I called for an update. The young woman who answered said it would be another 20 min. bc "I don't know, I guess it's busy". When the food was delivered – half an hour later – there was no rice with the entrees, cutlery, utensils, napkins or sauces. Surprising as those are usually included with Chinese cuisine... but not the end of the world. One entree was missing entirely (another was only about 3/4 full) so I called to let them know. I also asked about the white rice with entrees and was told they don't include rice. The gentleman who answered the phone was nice. He took my order info and said he would send the missing entree over right away. He called back a little while later and said the manager had packed the bag and they did include the entree. They said it was a double order in a bigger container. He ended up handing me off to the manager who was extremely rude. The manager insisted I was wrong, our order was correct and that the food containers have size numbers on them. I informed him the container did not have a number on it. I looked at all sides, including the bottom*. He refused to accept that I could possibly be telling the truth and when I told him I wasn't going to argue with him, he said he wasn't arguing. I told him that since he was the manager, I wanted to complain about our entire experience with this place and he said he didn't care, he cared about the size of the containers (to prove me wrong). *Photos of container attached. I told him that we would not be visiting this restaurant again and he said, "that is fine". I have literally never seen worse customer service. Particularly notable as 3 entrees and fried rice was almost $80. In my experience, great Chinese food is reasonably priced AND higher prices usually come with better customer service and customer experience. If the food was amazing, maaaaybe this manager would have a leg to stand on... but it's not. The orange chicken was mostly breading with little pieces of meat and the home style sauce was mediocre. The one thing that was good was the fortune cookie. They sent two (for three entrees/people). As someone who LOVES Chinese food, I would advise against this place for multiple reasons. With mediocre food, horrific customer service, no rice with entree and high prices, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Anywhere else.

Honestly, the review system seems way off. This place is amazing! The food is so good, just like the scene in “When Harry Met Sally- SO good.” They are so kind. I plan on being a regular. Grand treatment each time I went there so far and I am so impressed. They make you feel like you’re at a restaurant but also as if you’re having a home cooked meal - food served to you with love. Great experience. How else can I put it. This is one of the hidden gems in Los Angeles that everyone should try. Very clean, dress up or down, delightful environment, delicious food, and great service. P.S. Try the eggplant in brown sauce and don’t hold out on their soups or their unbelievable tasting spring rolls. Definitely get the ice cream! It’s phenomenal. Wow

My one complaint about this restaurant is how bad the service is. I went with a friend there for lunch and it took them well over 15 minutes to bring us the water and menus. Afterwards it took another 20 minutes to get our order! In the meantime they brought us a salad that looked like the manager special bags of old soggy salad you get a a grocery store. We ordered shrimp and a beef dish... Quality was OK, nothing special to rave about. Wouldn't visit this restaurant again. Update 12/18/19 Gave this place a second chance and it was much better a second time around. The lunch is inexpensive and you get a lot of food for your money. The salad still falls short, but their hot and sour soup and their assorted sea food platter had plenty of flavor! As an appetizer their cream cheese wontons were crispy and they didn't skimp on the cream cheese either. Very very good customer service, and this time the food was served quickly after ordering. I wouldn't mind coming back for lunch

THE BEST Chinese Restaurant in the ENTIRE Valley. Every single dish is incredible. Everything you order is fresh, delicious and delightful. Every person, from the servers to the patrons, are ecstatic to be there. We have been coming to Bamboo for almost 20 years and every time we go we are reminded about how special and wonderful this restaurant is. Joseph is practically family and we hope to visit for another 50 years.
