What is the max on the voucher?

Well, there is public transportation, the G.E.T. Busses, as well as their very limited On Demand service (which only covers a small portion of the center of town), Lyft, Uber, and Taxis. If you cannot afford any of that, I assure you that from first hand experience, there is not much that cannot be reached by walking on foot, if need be, within the span of two to three hours. But, the point is, Bakersfield is a large area, geographically speaking, but if you are car-less, it is still do- able. San Luis Obispo county, on the other hand, actually IS somewhere that is better lived within if you have a vehicle, so one can traverse all the towns in the quickest time possible. But, that is not at all the case in Bakersfield.

Ask for housing authority to do a mold inspection and tell them if there was any hint or clue that there is in fact, mold. And let them know of any concerns that you may have and they will try their best to have it cleaned, fixed, corrected or replaced...

Make sure your contact information has not changed if it has you need to notify housing Authority otherwise you will not get a letter nor a call

Like a regular email from any county government facility and will also have a phone number in case you prefer to communicate by phone.

Why not go into the office and ask them directly? They do a lot in there but cannot do everything. Go in there instead of being passive aggressive online.

You can call your Housing Authority Specialist who has had your case. Once you get the approval letter for your Unit Transfer you deal with the Housing Authority person who signed it.

That doesn't have to be accepted find out what your rights are California housing laws, you may be able to stay in a hotel and take the cost from the rent , but check first

Lot of people don't take proud in doing their job correctly or checking the work they do , so they may have just wrote it down incorrectly.

The orientation comes first they explain about the voucher, call the main number speak to the operator say you are not sure who your worker is they will look them up and connect you to them 😉 God bless

I applied in 2009 right after I had my son in july, I just got a letter last week because I called and told them I didn't care where I lived. I already qualifies for a 3bd. I'm in Kern County and the main places they offer with LIHP is Bakersfield CA. I'm on the section8 list too! I now have 2 more kids with my boyfriend.
