Just letting y’all know Fred Meyer’s only allows you to redeem $2.40 (24 containers) from the self service machines. Sticky, stinky, broken glass and trash everywhere. Both the self service machines worked however.

You don't need any identification to open a bottle drop account only a email and a phone number. Go to any kiosk with the phone and just enter basic information and they will text you a code right then and there !! Enter that code and it will print your bottle drop card then you can print out 10 or 20 bar code stickers that have only your info on them & they're free, then proceed to the counter and tell them you want 1 or 2 boxes of green bags. They will not ask for money it will be applied to your account, $2.00 a box and they will deduct it from your account along with .40 cents handling fee for each bag you turn in. It's a great & fantastic program.
Normal business hours are 7am-6pm, but if you have a bottledrop account and have the green drop off bags provided through said account, you may drop them off till 11pm at the after hours drop off area.
Yes. But as it is stated on bottledrop.com, no ID? If you have a working phone number that accepts SMS, you don't need ID. No phone: need an ID and address.
because the state set new requirements for the bottle return policy when they revamped the policy to reflect the price raise to 10 cents. Not all the big stores can readily comply with those requirements. the little stores can still accept returns the state will pick up as long as they don't exceed the return cap of 500 pieces per week or 25 pieces per person per day. for the stores to have the bigger kiosks the return machines all have to be updated to meet safety and sanitary requirements which is a formidable fee to upgrade to the new standards. Many of the stores that used to have kiosks have chosen not to upgrade so they are limited to the 500 piece counts like everyone else. this is why they are all setting limits on the amount of the returns you can bring in and why the are so few return kiosks available. to update 1 machine costs close to $8000.00 depending on how old the machine is.a new machine is close to $20000.00.
It said 6 digit because when you put your phone number in it sends a 6 digit code to your phone. I was confused as well.
Yes
yes you can. if you do a google search for the Oregon bottle bill or oregon bottle bill facts you will find the PDF's with all the information on what the drop acceptances and requirements of retail stores are.
look up oregon bottle drop locations via google or other search engine will give you a listing of the locations
Yes it is. Be advised: they only allow each person to redeem up to 24 containers per day, and if you wish to drop off more containers than that you must do it via the drop door using your bottledrop account and either green or blue (for charity) bags.
It is a convenience fee because of you go to any of the hand return centers you will wait hours to get in
Yes, if you're an Oregon resident with a valid Oregon ID.
You can use one of their kiosks to set it up. You will need your ID at least. If I am remembering, you'll set up with an email and attach a pin to the account. They will give you your bottledrop cards at the location, which you will need to have if you want to access your account (like put money on it when you turn in cans, or withdraw funds). The staff are pretty helpful and when I set mine up it was very straightforward. As far as I know though you will need to do it at a bottledrop center but I could be wrong.
You don't. Your account works at plus stations
it used to be required that returns have caps removed. its no longer so. in fact there are a few return places that ask that the caps be left on now for sanitary purposes.
Not that I know. There are recycling centers for batteries though. Battery Xchange, bulb plus would be your best bet.
According to the website: ://www.bottledropcenters.com/About "Two BottleDrop bags per day, per account. If you have more than two BottleDrop bags, please visit a BottleDrop Center to schedule a drop appointment."
actually its 35 cents per bag not 25.
What you can do is take it to the area where you can get each bottle/can counted for a instant cash pay out. That's how I usually do it. At this location it's 144 per person. But I am not sure about the bottle-drop drop off container machine.
Apparently it depends on where you go. The Delta Park bottle drop allows you to turn in up to 350 cans/bottles per day. Which is $35.00.
Go to a Bottle Drop center and the staff can explain how to sign up. Its really easy. Or go to a store that has a Bottle Drop Kkosk and you just have to follow the simple instructions that appear on the kiosk screen, to sign up..
