This place is a joke. They don't communicate well, schedule appointments a month ahead if you're lucky. No direct phone number to call. They tell you you have a face to face appointment, then ends up a phone call. If you're new, and released from the hospital THEY DONT FOLLOW-UP like they should. Then when you complain by going over their heads, THEY LIE about the situation. I had to switch providers due to their nonsense. If you have your own private insurance, you probably will get better treatment then if you have Medi-Cal. Your looked down upon and treated like your a low life.

It’s not often that I write a review but, in this case, I felt that it was more than imperative that I did. People should be fully aware of what they should expect to experience if they choose to be a patient at this facility. Not only am I in awe of HOW this place is still able to operate and half serve its patients, but I’m also disturbed and disgusted that it’s permitted to be open. Who is in charge? Who is responsible for how Disorganized, Unprofessional and Lackadaisical this “HEALTHCARE” facility is? I have never seen any Healthcare facility operate in the manner that this one does. There is no real regard for the patients and the inconsistency from the staff is disheartening. I can only imagine what other people’s experience is like, especially the ones that cannot advocate for themselves or do not know how to. After dealing with the mess of this place – I told them I know longer want to be a patient and I will notify the insurance company of my experience. I will not go into every detail and every situation that I encountered with Newhall but I will mention three main issues. 1. In the last three months I have had 2 in person appointments canceled, and 2 phone appointments canceled. Not to mention that one of my in- person appointments I found once I I arrived, not prior. How Inconsiderate and sloppy! 2. I had to be referred out for a specialist and with that process Newhall facility either delayed the process or halted the process because of how unorganized they were. In one of the instances, they attempted to place the blame on the other facility instead of taking accountability for what they did not do. I called the other facility to confirm what I already knew, and it was that Nehwall was the issue. 3. Every person that commented on how long the wait time is to get someone on the phone is telling the absolute truth. When you do get someone on the phone it's like rolling dice on the type of treatment you will receive. The interesting thing about the entire situation is that – when they dropped the ball the first time with my paperwork and not communicating properly AND canceled my appointment in addition to that…as annoyed as I was, I gave them a second chance. After the fourth cancellation, I canceled them.

No matter what time of day I call, I can never get a hold of someone. I’m always on hold, sometimes for over an hour. Sometimes I’m calling all day just to make an appointment because nobody picks up the phone and when I get to the clinic , the receptionists aren’t busy or doing anything. I don’t understand why it takes so long to pick up the phone just to make an appointment in 5 mins. They need to fix this problem. Another thing, I’m not sure about other places but with northeast valley ever since Covid started for every single thing they try to give you over the phone appointments and just guess what’s wrong with you. Over the phone appointments don’t always help. At this point I don’t think it’s a safety precaution, I just think they’re being lazy.

Staff is highly competent. They have been very understanding and considerate with my numerous cancellations and rescheduling. The demeanor of the staff is very professional and greatly appreciated as I have suffered a very difficult loss as of late. I cannot thank them enough for not making a very hard situation worse. Having a clinic not give you attitude really makes a huge difference. Thank you all.
