I seriously love castaway, it is such a beautiful venue to host anything. I love coming here to eat with my family. The steaks are always up to Par. The short rib dish is my favorite. As well as ordering a charcuterie board. We love the watermelon margaritas. This place is great. I have hosted so many different things here. Also we love David, he is bilingual. His service has always been the best.

My food was delicious! I ordered the lobster and shrimp with risotto. I got scared when I saw the shrimp; however they were seasoned and cooked perfectly. Make sure you have a reservation before you arrive. If not, you can sit at the bar, first come, first serve, and you can order food there. With the reservation, you can sit on the patio that overlooks the hills and the city, or inside the restaurant dining area. They had three special events going on. A wedding reception, a 55th birthday party, and another event. Kudos to the restaurant staff because I did not see either of these parties. I watched people go to their respective destinations, but it did not interfere with the restaurant's normal flow of business. I was a Special Events Manager at the House of Blues. So I couldn’t help but pay attention.

One of the best brunches I have ever experienced. Beautiful views. Wonderful service from our waitress (Robin I believe). The kitchen was able to accommodate a vegetarian Benny made with their AMAZING wild mushrooms and avocado. Eggs were cooked absolutely perfectly and the potatoes... Ugh so dang good. All the drinks were delightful but the lavender charcoal mimosa was *chef's kiss* Will 1000% be back everytime we're on the west coast

I have been coming here for years. even though it's a seafood place I enjoy my steak every single time. we have tasted the salmon the whole fish with rice and my family loves it as well you cannot beat a better location especially on a clear night where is very romantic and great for drinks. the staff is always accommodating and the location is well suited for large parties weddings and just a night out.

Hi! We are Officially Open! Castaway will offer an a la carte lunch menu on Saturdays and Sunday with some brunchy items. Lunch will be served Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 3pm. We look forward to having you dine with us!

There are always few persons on the reception what’s the problem don’t know. But you can try to make a reservation through the web page. It works.
Good luck getting a hold of anyone. You'd be better off driving to the restaurant. I promise it'll be quicker.
The menus are online and you can check them out. I'd get a side and a starter for them.
You should call the restaurant and ask them directly because it changes every week but when I dine there in December, they didn't check since it's technically outdoor if you sit near that area.
Plate should sufficiently feed 4 or 7. Just the size.

Yes they have private room, but with such beautiful view, you may not want to use it No idea what is over person cost. We paid 50 per person including tips for a very nice plates, though only one drink.

I don't think they do...and it doesn't seem like they do... In reality, this place is perfect just to get away from all the noise and enjoy a relaxing moment with friends or a significant other... The only live entertainment is the quietness and the amazing view...

No but they do have a full brunch menu which I prefer anyways I'd rather be served in to get up and start my own food when I'm paying for it😀😉

We went casual (jeans, t-shirt, flip-flops) as we were tourists to town and we were fine. The staff were lovely and not pretentious at all. Make the effort if you can though, as it is a really pretty place!

It IS 1250 e harvard. Basically at the end of harvard road, its castaway. Just follow harvard up the hill, youll see a big sign that says Castaway. Where harvard ends, it is Castaway up the hill past the park
They may still have it on Sunday's, but it's no longer available on Saturdays. Only a brunch menu.
On any day, Castaway never offer buffet. They offer Brunch, Dinner menu. A sunset 3 course prix fixe and a bar.
I was there this past Saturday and it wasn't offered. Because its only been open for about a week, I would suggest calling in advance to make sure.
The place was under renovation/construction the last time i was there 2 months ago. It may take a while for them to complete the work. But I know their event rooms are open for business.

Its being remodeled right now should be done soon last time i was there (a week or so ago) they still were working on the exterior around the restaurant.

This is a rental place...it closes when ur event is over!
It's a place that you rent so closure would depend upon the time your event is over. For example I went there for a wedding and the wedding started at noon and went until midnight
