Incredible monument at the center of this gem of a park. I highly encourage people to read the placards explaining the history of the park & monument dating back to the Revolutionary War.

Nice space. We went for a 6yr old birthday party. Very clean environment and plenty of space for the kids to run around. The visitor center was right there with clean bathroom and some information. Not sure what it was about wasn't very catchy to peak an interest to see what it was about. Would've been nice if there was someone there to provide a lil background.

One of the best parks in Brooklyn. 2 playgrounds in the SE & NW corners, tennis, basketball and bathrooms. Plus the monument. Reseeding on the SE lawns Lots of space for dogs to run and play. The hills are steep and some of the paths aren't well paved. Over 11,500 men and women that died in the Revolutionary War are buried in the crypt underneath this monument.

I've never heard of a Santa being present in the park. Maybe in the new Fulton Mall off Flatbush, or Macy's on Fulton, or the Public Library at Grand Army Plaza.
Yes, lots of children go sledding here on a snowy day. Don't go before 9am though, as it is off-leash hours for dogs.
Yes there is also a tennis court and 2 play grounds
Yes, you can bbq. They have grills on the myrtle ave side. Don't know if there is a limited limited time.

There is no designated dog park, but dogs are allowed to be off leash before 9am. Most mornings the whole place is pretty much a giant dog park.
Yes i believe on certain entrances but remember everyone has a political connection to city agencies using 311.If u need to file a complaint about a need anywhere citywide all u do is call 311,connect wit a 311 specialist n a complaint wit a complaint id number will b recorded,have details,color,description,detailing where,what is the problem.If they need to reach you,u may leave contact information.When you start noticing your neighborhood get better because you took time to document it wit 311 call.It is worth the effort.My best one was a wheelchair ramp on an Island green space,they came did an accessment n saw that were riding in the street.They also noticed shopoing carts n baby carriages woukd b helped if croowalk had ramp.Months later ramp was place Power to the people 😀
