Elmhurst park is like being out side of the city. A place to walk and exercise bike and run. Great sunsets and Pictures.

This is a really lovely park, one of the best in Queens. It’s quiet, peaceful, well-maintained, and very clean. There are both quiet shady areas as well as open sunny areas. This is definitely a retreat in the middle of Queens!

Yes. It's easy to get a permit. Also, there is a very notoriously strict Parks Dept worker who actually went around asking for permits last summer. Don't think she was in a position to give a summons, but she made it seem like she could. Gave her a slice of pizza and cake. That made her go away. Think that's her thing. She goes around shaking down kids parties for food.
