Today was actually a pleasant visit. As soon as I walked in two nice girls at the doors were helpful. The girl at the front desk was super smiley and inviting. My number was immediately called, I must’ve sat for 2 seconds. A new hire was training, Mr.Lamiere (hope I spelled it right) but he was super professional and was working hard at getting me in and out of there. Mr.Brown who was overseeing his coworker was super knowledgeable and very informative to both his fellow worker and myself. The guy in the pink shirt (they’ll know who he is) super funny! Great experience, for the first time ever.

We visited this location because my son need id to get his permit to drive. he took the test online then made the appointment. We got there and filled up the aplication and wait to be called for a picture, then passed by the clerks window with the document list: id card, birth certificate, also his SS#. The process was quickly, Carol was the Lady that help us she was nice. We ended up paying a total fee of 85.75. Officr was clean and a nice location. The front kiosk girl was polite the security team are around the building.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. I arrived at 4:30 from out of state to drop off plates. I work the same hours the DMV is open so I had to leave work early which is not easy to do. I currently have a temporary registration and it is NY law that you must surrender plates before getting your new ones. The security guard was already argueing with people when I walked in at 4:30 which means they got their BEFORE 4:30, the amount of time he spent yelling at me to leave took longer than surrending plates would have. He kept saying to come back tomorrow, I cant just come back tomorrow there are certain days at work we are too short staffed for me to leave early. I won't be able to go again til next week and will end up paying an extra month of insurance. Do they not realize people travel long distances and have busy schedules?? This place would rather hurt you than help you, would rather argue for 10 minutes than let you in for a two minute process. If you close at "4:25" than don't say your open til 5! You should be able to at least surrender plates up until 5. I've dealt with this place in the past, they are always rude and unhelpful. I had a feeling something would go wrong,so I tried calling first to ask what time I should come to drop off plates, BUT THEY DONT PICK UP THE PHONE EITHER.

It took me about 2 hours, you get a receipt on the spot and the actual card comes in the mail about 10 days later

They will give a receipt, once you turn in plates. Just bring your license and plates insurance card registration your good.

You Go to the local DMV. They will give you a Large Envelope to fill out. Then put the plates into the envelope after the information on it was filled out. Drop it into the plate drop box and approx 1 week later you will receive a E-Mail confirmation of your plate drop.

First you have to get one, located for engines and vehicles for the computer exam, the requirements you have to carry are your passport, the consular ID one bill in your name and that is all.
You can also sign up for mydmv on the ny dmv website and renew online. You dont have to go to the dmv. If you need an eye exam they have a list of stores that you can go to to do the exam and they enter the info into a dmv portal. You need to do that first. Then you dont need to go to the dmv at all.

It depends on what ticket number you are given and if there is alot of staff available for the day at the windows. Some staff go on break and the wait is even longer. but going there at 5:20 shouldnt be a problem. They will take anyone that is inside the main corridor as long as you have your ticket. They used to close the door 30 minutes before but I think they got complaint and usually have to stay open til the time they say they close and still have to take every one inside ifnit means they will have to leave late
