No real parking lot. You have to park on the side of the road and the hike is less than a mile. It was clean, path was clear and markers for everyone to clearly see. I’d recommend coming during a rainy season. We came at the wrong time. Dry waterfall. Fitzgerald Dry Falls. Still cool to visit.

Nice place to visit in the early spring. Short walk from the roadside parking. Right on the Appalachian Trail. There is a creek crossing above the falls (no assistance such as rope or bridge) so wear shoes that can get wet, trekking poles if you need the added stability to rock hop. Pretty falls but not remarkable. Very busy during warm months on weekends. AT thru hikers pass through in big numbers during the summer hiking bubble.

Short hike (est 16 minutes from road). Great for kids or just gettingback into the groove of hiking after the winter. There are rock steps to the right of the falls that take you to the top.

The waterfall is small but the natural scene is beautifull.

Yes, there are swimming beaches. This came up as a question about Fitzgerald Falls. Can't swim there, it's a brook/stream. But we saw a beach with swimmers at Harriman on the way home.
They all eventually do

You probably made the same mistake I made...Do NOT go to the place where it says "No Trespassing"...you will be chased down by a group of armed Rednecks who look like rejects from Duck Dynasty. The falls don't have parking....just a single or double car area...more of a road side vs a parking area. From there just follow the easy trail and enjoy!
