The workers are very helpful and nice, and I see them working with everyone, Regardless of who they are.

Cesar Chavez Central Library is a two story building with classic mid century modern architecture. It is well staffed with friendly knowledgeable employees and Librarian's. A good selection of DVD's are available for checkout, there's aisles and aisles of favourite book's magazine's etc. Computers are free to use and search directories are easy to locate and there is a separate children's library adjacent to the main library, entrances to both are located one flight of steps below street level, there is a wide safe wheel accessible ramp from street level down to the entrance to the building Recently Cesar Chavez Central Library was gifted with over 700 brand new Chromebooks and tablets which were distributed to patrons who were fortunate to respond to the free give away. Parking is easily found and there's a Starbucks right across the street, also Stockton's beautiful old City Hall is one half block away. The library also has free available Income Tax forms and booklets on the second floor. An elevator is always ready to be accessed for going upstairs and returning to the main floor. Inside library theres stairs in the middle leading upstairs and an elevator to the right.
The majority are nice when you are aware of what they want, and the rest just want to avoid a curious person.

Your first Library card is always free. As of December 2017, Adults pay $2 for a replacement card, while children would pay only $1 for a replacement card.
