Enjoyed a recent 4-night stay here. Pleasant staff, organized check-in, well stocked mini store, and most importantly, clean bathrooms. Very convenient to all things in Jim Thorpe…hiking, biking, rafting, and the downtown area. I gave it 4 stars for the following reasons: the dumpster area (which is behind latched doors) was horrible smelling with trash and other thrown away items all over the ground and not in the receptacles. I get it, trash smells. But the area all around the dumpsters should be cleaned up. And secondly, the pool area could use a good facelift and daily pool cleaning. There are weeds growing all around and in the pool area, and the pool (both large and small) were pretty dirty. I wasn’t too keen on hanging out for these reasons, but plenty of people didn’t seem to mind.

So the check-in went great and the location is great. But I'd skip this and not return. The sites are just too close together and there are a lot of regulars and permanents that make it feel like you're camping in a trailer park. I'd look elsewhere if I returned.

This place was great we had a really good time but the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we got cabin 6 and there was nowhere to park our van and it was the ONLY cabin on a decent slant downward. Our children fell off their chairs a few times. We requested a different site but unfortunately we were told all the cabins were booked up. The staff was very friendly and always available. The did give us a little bit of a hard time about our dog being on-site not tied up. He didn't leave our camp site but they wanted him on a leash even sitting by the fire with us which is fine rules are rules I suppose! We would return. The walk to the lake was ling but we'll worth it. Some of the most beautiful sites I've ever seen in my life. The kids had a great time and really that's all we wanted! The little store was great and fully stocked with coffee and anything you may need!

Great little Camping/ RV Resort. Went on Memorial Day 2022 weekend. Bathrooms in good condition, friendly staff, and close to Mauch Chunk Lake. (1.5mi hike). I booked a cabin this trip vs tent. Cabin was dry, comfortable, and came with ceiling fan and 1 electrical out. Cabin had covered porch that kept all of us dry when eating outside. Would book again.

Call them before the season reopens and try to book in advance 2-3 weeks prior to reopening. Last time I was there we did seen a few lots opened. It's a great place. Hope this helps.
Yes, you can bring in your own, but the store always has it in case you run out.
They do not have there own bathrooms but the shared restrooms are very close and are very clean
I believe so there are permanent sites there
I ride up there but from nesquehoning was wondering if the campground connect some how from there
It's a general store as well as camping office. Old school and no voicemail. Just try again during middle of day, before check in/out times
