This was one of the best experiences I've had at a vet. They respond quickly to phone calls and even have an option for text communication. The team is extremely kind and calm. They are thorough with their questions and the doctor was not fear based or extreme at all with his examinations. I love that they are holistic and educated on the importance of food. Food is thy medicine!

I could not have a BETTER experience . My poor old Boy (dog) was very badly injured and it was a desperate situation . They got him in quickly, as a new patient! They were wonderfully accommodating , super easy with communicating and so so kind. They are more than an hour away from my home, and I dont care. We wont be going anywhere else. I love them and the staff and Dr. WOW! I cant say enough "wonderful " things. THANK YOU GUYS FOR SAVING MY DOG'S LIFE!! -Meg

Needed to refill prescription originally told bring my cat back to recheck already spent $550 to verify problem. I was told another $85 for prescription. Found exact product on ebay for $30 no charge shipping. Cant stand business that rip you off in this case i would of had to pay another $550 to tell me what i already paid for but a couple of weeks before. Will never go back to this vet again. They know your vulnerable so they take advantage of you. Trust me when i say will make sure all my neighbors know about my experience. I appreicate the first visit to find out problem which i knew about it in advance by going on utube. But needed confirmation.

Wish I didn't have to put a single star. I took my rabbit in two days ago with very obvious symptoms of GI stasis. The veterinarian examined my rabbit then took x-rays of her body. The x-ray showed blockage in my rabbit's stomach, as well as gas in her abdomen. This very same veterinarian brushed it off as nothing more than a full stomach. She recommended that I give my rabbit some pineapple and force extraordinary capsules into her mouth twice a day. $253 and two days later, I come home to my sweet girl passed. I regret ever bringing my rabbit to this joke of a veterinary hospital. If my baby had been treated properly, she very well may have lived through this.

After an intense adjustment to running the clinic during the pandemic, Dr. Martin has enjoyed spending more time with her family. She has decided to turn over ownership of Wise & Wonderful to Dr. Power, who trained at Chi University, just like Dr. Martin. Dr. Martin still cares about the practice and clients, and we plan to continue seeing her back from time to time.
All Things Wise And Wonderful is the second volume of a trilogy written by Dr. James Herriot, British Veterinarian and Dr. Martin’s hero and inspiration. Dr. Martin sees all living creatures as wise and wonderful, with great teachings to share with us about courage, compassion, and living in the moment. The name of our clinic is the best homage she could offer to the animals we care for, and the man who inspired her to dedicate her life to them.
It depends. Because the first visit is long, we can’t always accommodate a particular treatment. This possibility is evaluated by the whole team when you set your appointment and/or during the visit. If you know for sure you would like a particular treatment as part of your first visit, make sure to let the team know when they book your appointment so plenty of time can be scheduled.
We are 1 of only 4 Fear Free certified practices in California. That means that we do everything we can to lower fear anxiety and stress before and during the visit. When you book your appointment, you will be asked to prepare your pet for the visit and when you arrive, we will make sure that your pet's experience is the best they can have. Many of our patients love or learn to love coming to our Center because it’s a different experience than most clinics!
No. The first visit is one of the most important and longest ones. You and your pet will meet with your doctor, you will discuss your pet's health history and any current issues or concerns and you will receive a lot of information and advice after a thorough Western medicine exam and a thorough traditional Chinese medicine assessment. However, you are welcome to stop by with your pet for a "treat and greet” and to meet the front office team!
New clients must be seen by a doctor before they receive vaccines. In addition, too often, our doctors have found health issues in pets coming for routine vaccination. So, we perform an examination prior to all vaccinations. This is a great opportunity to check in about overall health and diet as well as any concerns you might have.
Yes, we even go beyond by merging holistic medicine with western medicine when needed in order to obtain the best results for each individual patient.
Yes, there is very often one. The treatment will depend on the patient, their age, health condition etc. You should call our Center to make an appointment: only one of our integrative veterinarians can tell you what is possible and efficient.
Call them.
