Our son, daughter in law and family just completed a move from the Peninsula to the East Bay. I could not image doing it without these guys. They were on time and never stopped working all day. Even when we would try to help pick things up or move things the team would thank us and take it out of our hands and say it is their job. They were meticulous in wrapping everything and making sure everything was picked up and safe. It was a LONG day, we went over our estimated time and they never complained or even slowed down. In a day when people don't want to work and find excuses for everything this team is a throw back of when hard work was something to be proud of. Could not recommend any higher.

I hired Gentle Giant to help move a top floor studio apartment to a top floor 1 bedroom -- no elevators and so many stairs! My boyfriend and I were impressed by Alex, Willis, and Jake not only in their agility in handling sharply curving San Francisco hallways, large heavy items, and 4 flights of stairs at each place, but with their professionalism and positive attitude throughout. The final cost was exactly what they quoted us, no surprises, everything made it through intact. I would definitely hire them again for moving in San Francisco!

We packed most of our things ahead of time, but they were happy to help with the large/awkward/fragile items when they arrived. Demand for moving services is generally at its lowest during the middle of the month and, in particular, the middle of the week. If your schedule allows for a move on one of these days, many movers offer their most competitive rates during those times.
Gentle Giant, as well as all licensed movers, will not move hazardous or combustible items such as propane tanks, firearms, paint, and aerosols, as the temperature in the truck could cause these items to explode or ignite.
No, we are not equipped to dispose of trash. However, if you wish to have something transported to a waste disposal location, we are able to transport it at the hourly rate, plus any fee imposed by the disposal facility. If possible, talk to your move coordinator prior to moving day to make these arrangements.
Yes. Our professional movers and moving trucks are prepared to move during rain, sleet, or snow. However, in order to keep costs down, we recommend you shovel, rake, or otherwise clear the access ways in preparation for their arrival.
We recommend scheduling your move as far in advance as possible. The farther out you can plan your move, the greater the availability you will have in choosing a preferred date and time. A general rule of thumb is to contact us no later than two weeks in advance of your desired move date.
