Each time I have detailed my experiences about how horrible this thrift store treated me as an African-American it is removed by the webmaster at thriftshopper. I went into this store and found a pair of Manolo Blahnik's that had the colored tag of 50% off, the racist clerk would not sell them to me because she said she forgot to pull them off the floor. How is that my problem? There was a horrible odor in there too. They have a veil of being Christian organization, but there practices are far from godly. I would never continue to post negative reviews on here if I had been sold those shoes. I am glad to see that the manager has offered an apology as I was treated horribly and have never went in that store since this visit.Dear Mrs. R, We are very sorry for your bad experience. We have been in business in Pennington, NJ for many years, and have customers of many races and ethnicities. Many of our customers, including African-Americans, have been coming here for years, and now come with several generations of relatives and friends. We respect and appreciate them all. If you ever feel you are being treated unfairly, please bring it to the manager's attention. You didn't say when you visited the store, but the fact that you mentioned a horrible odor makes us think it was around the time a dead skunk was found in the alley next to the store. We were appalled by the odor, and it took the landlord some time to locate the cause and remove it. We are very pleased with the positive comments we get from other customers, and we hope your subsequent visits will be more satisfactory.
