Hiked about a four mile counterclockwise loop up the Clipper Ridge Trail & down the French Trail (aka God’s Trail). These trails are pretty steep, so good for a workout. Nice views of Pillar Point Harbor & HMB Airport. The Clipper Ridge Trail is overgrown with pampas grass in many spots so pants are recommended. I didn’t see anyone else on these trails on a Friday morning.

Beautiful trails, even better on weekdays with little to no foot traffic. Just started mountain biking and am lucky to have this trail system right out my front door living in Montara.

There are great hikes to be had here available in many levels of difficulty. From relatively easy paved to very tricky, slippery gravel and rock. The views from up on the mountain or the nearby hills are great on a clear day or even a partly cloudy one.

Yes. Bring water and a hat since there is not much shade. There is some poison oak, so wear protection.
Yes. There are lots of trails. There are some super steep parts where you'll have to push your bike up.
