NIGHTMARE SCENARIO - LIES AND DECEPTION Under no circumstances put your family through the torture of working with this organization. Death is hard enough on us, but stringing families along and operating without a license is too far. This organization contracts out actual cremation companies to take care of bodies. Robert, of Oceanview Cremations, is in charge of the bodies until they go to the 3rd party cremators he subcontracts. He is supposed to file all paperwork on behalf of the deceased and deliver the remains once cremation occurs. My father was given over to Oceanview Cremations after his death in January '22 from the hospital. At the time of this writing in APRIL, my father has still not been cremated, we do not have death certificates, and Robert continues to string us along with his lies. I've spoken with Robert more than 8 times over the last two months asking for updates. He is always on his way into the office and will call me back when he gets there. Spoiler alert: I've never received a call from him. He's told me time and time again that my father is in process of being delivered to be cremated and I'll get confirmation in a 7-10 days. Today, he told us my father was in fact cremated. Finally, right!? WRONG. This was a LIE. I was able to find out who his 3rd party cremation service is and they confirmed they have never heard of my father. This 3rd party company called Robert and he told them again that my father was cremated. They confirmed their identity, and told him that there is no way this cremation took place. Robert was shook. His business phone changed last week, and his current webpage is suspended. It turns out the business license expired in February '22, and according to the Department of Consumer Affairs Cremation and Funeral Bureau, I've filed a claim against this organization with the aforementioned bureau, submitted a dispute with my credit card company that services were never rendered, and will look into filing a local police report for operating without a license. Put this company out of business.

Please if you want to avoid grief and pain DO NOT GO HERE. My loved one has sat in the refrigerator for 6 weeks un-cremated. Robert said weeks ago they had been cremated yet they were still in the refrigerator. It has been 6 weeks with no ashes and no death certificate. Six weeks of lying, non-response, and saying he will call yet he never calls back. It is disgraceful. Sadly, we had little choice about going here but if you have a choice AVOID this place at all costs. He is deeply unprofessional and without remorse. He even went on vacation while our family member sat in his fridge. We will be filing a complaint.

Class act from start to finish. I worked with Robert Smith, whom I believe is the owner. Robert was kind and straight to the point in answering my questions, which I really appreciated after getting the spiel from several of his competitors. I just needed the price for a basic cremation and he did not ask me endless questions before telling me. In the Bay Area, basic cremation services can run anywhere from $750 to $2300, not including death certificates (You will need more than you think to close accounts, transfer property, etc.) I chose Robert not only for being on the low end of that spectrum ($849) but also because he was nice and reassuring without being insincere. His guys that came to pick up my mom were professional, respected COVID rules and were very considerate. It takes more time than I thought to have hospice generate a death certificate, get it signed and approved, get the body to the crematorium, etc, but Robert was available via cell the entire time and because it took an extra few days, he offered to drive to my place with the remains and the certificates when everything was done. Death is sad and hard but he made this part really easy. Thank you!

Literally the worst treatment ever, denied visits fo family from out of town, demanded payment day of death, callous, uncaring and rude
