hellow everyone , just a small note about JGM race engines.after many hours of phone calls calling a least 15 different machine shops ,most of them were the type that were just interested in doing a fast job and grab your money, they say there race build quiality but i dont think so. i had one shop in oceanside tell me after four times its clean enough l asked them to please send my block out and have it cleaned you see there a pro, race shop but they only have a small pressure washer! what a joke ,the next time i returned ,i was told its clean enough and the oil filter will catch the rest of the dirt in the motor and whats on the outside dose not matter because the hood will be closed and nobody will see it.needlless to say i took my block and crankshaft back lost all trust and faith. in a shop that states they have the machines well mabey they do but they for sure dont have the want or the care to make a customer feel good with leaving a project with them for a total performance rebuild!so l brought it to jgm not sorry really nice job they kept in touch every step of the way my motor is spotless it runs as good as it looks (Im sure it will) it will be a real powerhouse the machine work looks @measured perfect (bores only, it is all i could measure because it is in shortblock form).cant say too much more but i think it clean , spotless, its going to not only iook great but run great also thanks jgm outstanding service cant wait to finish it up @get it running!!!!! What started out with burnt valve on my previously worn out Ford 390 FE led to a complete engine rebuild. After asking numerous gear heads about a machine shop they’d recommend JGM is the name that kept coming up. Ryan took me under his wing and was excellent to work with. He gave me a tour of the shop and explained each step of the process that my engine would go through. The work that Ryan and his guys did was absolutely top notch. Stoked to have my grandfather’s old Ford pickup on the road again with freshly rebuilt motor pushing a few more ponies than stock.

A perfect 5-star rating for the guys at Jim Grubbs Motorsports! Terrific Family operation, super knowledgeable, honest and the highest level of integrity! Ryan and his crew did an amazing job building the engine for my 1970 Mach 1 Mustang, I loved the fact that my engine never left their shop. Every bit of block preparation, machining, blueprinting, assembly and the final dyno test was done at JGM. Ryan encouraged me to stop by the shop anytime and would even call me when good opportunities were present to take pictures to help me document my car build. “Old School Customer Service” at its best. When the engine was complete, I delivered it to Ventura, CA where my Mustang is being built. The car builder noticed that the dipstick that was originally in the engine was not the correct OEM dipstick that was supplied by the factory when the car was built. I contacted Ryan to schedule a time for me to bring the engine back to him to change out the dipstick tube in the block. Instead, Ryan volunteered to have one of his guys drive out to Ventura and change out the dipstick tube so I would not have to bring the engine back to him and then take it back to Ventura again. This speaks volumes for how they treat their customers… very rare to find this level of customer service and I cannot thank them enough. Do yourself a favor and trust these guys with your build, you will not regret it.

I dropped off a Toyota 22 RTE head for rebuild. Ryan knows his stuff. His employees are very approachable as well. I am a gearhead so he took me through the shop and explained everything. I recommend JGM Motorsports for any engine build you need from simple to all out.
