California Pizza Kitchen at Lakewood

On a pretty slow Thursday afternoon it took way too long to get served. Looked like they had plenty of workers so I don't understand the delay. Once we did get served the server was not attentive at all. She seemed as if she couldn't be bothered. The food was good. We had a Spicy Honey Bee Focaccia ( without ham ) which was delicious. Cheese Tomato pizza which was very good. We also had the California Fields Salad and a Watermelon Spritzer which was very good. Ended with the Strawberry Shortcake which we loved. Couldn't decide whether to give this location 3 stars or 4. I Gave this location 4 stars due to their store cleanliness, staff was friendly and cheerful and the waiters did try their best. The food was great , I ordered the carne asada pizza which was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. We were 12 family members and everyone enjoyed what they ordered so I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. This location almost received a 3-star rating because they were out of my favorite beer and the cocktails I ordered seemed plain. In the service department one of our kids meal didn't arrive until everyone finished eating. Overall we had a pleasant time at this restaurant and would go back again.🍕🍹

I had the BBQ chicken salad. It was delicious and my son loved his pepperoni pizza.
