Shoppers beware and don't order any perishables if in hot climates! Ordering through Instacart was a huge mistake and costly. The first thing I noticed is that there is obviously no training to become an Instacart shopper. I ordered 4 half gallons of milk (on sale and marked no substitutions), but received 4 gallons (not on sale), 5 16.8oz 6 packs of Coke Zero/Dr. Pepper Zero (on sale with flavor substations) and received 1 16.8oz Cherry Coke Zero (which I approved) and 4 12oz 8 packs of Coke Zero (Not on sale). I also ordered a 48oz container of Cottage Cheese (no substitutions) and received a 16oz container. The milk was sweating so bad that it is way above 50 degrees. The ice cream I ordered was more like milk, which means that it is no longer safe to eat. Instacart obviously does not supply their shoppers with any equipment that can keep food cold. This is unacceptable and I will no longer be choosing delivery from Instacart. It would have been cheaper to have an Uber Driver drive me home from the store. Note to Management: 1. Ensure that your employees are all properly trained on how to communicate via the app. - I was shared a picture which clearly showed stock of several soft drink flavors which I advised the shopper of and he ignored. 2. Train Shoppers on sizes and how to convert. - I ordered 4 half gallons of Skim Milk, which is 2 gallons. I received 4 gallons. I also ordered 48oz of cottage cheeses and received 16oz. 3. Supply shoppers with equipment to maintain the temperatures of perishable items. In the desert Southwest it is triple digit temperatures for 7-8 months. This is unacceptable for a company like yours to ignore.

Very convenient delivery service. I would recommend getting Instacart Express as it makes for priority delivery times & extremely affordable. Majority of my grocery deliveries have been great with only a select few that had been disappointing due to the delivery person being unaware of how to pick good produce or just not communicating when an item is out of stock and not shopping for the alternative item selected on shopping list. There are numerous stores available via Instacart for delivery and mind you it's not only grocery stores available, there are different options including convenience stores, gift cards selection, and more! They will deliver to offices, home, hotels and seem to cover plenty of cities in OC.

I have used this service 3 times within the past 3 weeks and EACH time there has been issue, however today's order is absolutely unacceptable. I received someone else's order entirely and I am unable to contact the shopper named Jason nor will Instacart's customer service respond via chat and it's been 90 minutes since the chat was started. I called the CS# only to hear a recording that they aren't accepting calls at this time. I sent an email asking for assistance but no response. I have no idea where the items that I ordered are, no one has come to pick up the items that were delivered to my home. I'm sure the person who ordered these items would like to have their order just as much as mine. Naturally they have a taken payment from my cc...take the money and lend no assistance. Poor poor business, terrible shoppers and customer service is non-existent!!!!

Second time using instacart and both experiences were subpar. This last time is a kicker, under special instructions on bagged spinach I asked " please make sure it's the freshest bag possible thank you" this is what I got ... who in their right mind as a service-oriented fresh grocery delivery service would pick out and purchase for their customer a completely rotten and disgusting bag of produce? I also purchased flat leaf parsley with instructions to make sure it wasn't curly oh, and what did I get? Curley parsley. Exactly what I didn't ask for. What makes this experienced the worst ever is when I called customer service to get help I ended up staying on the phone for an hour and a half just trying to get a refund. Consumers beware. The $10 service charge the $5 tip and the hour and a half on the phone makes this so-called simple and time-saving alternative to actually going to the grocery store a huge failure if I could give zero Stars I would

Since I use instacart, is there a way, that I can request the same personal shopper every time I order? Thanks, Gary

I think so

How much do you get paid to be an Instacart shopper

Depending on the hours you put in u can easily earn 100 a day. It's a lot of heavy lifting and gas. Customers are rude af and have been accusing shoppers of adding items to their orders so they can get refunded by Instacart Then Instacart fires the shopper with out even investigating
