Pool is great but be aware that it is working from 11am to 3pm and then from 4pm to 7pm.

Very rude black woman at the front of the line, she does not know how to properly speak to people, made my family feel humiliated. Don’t recommend this pool at all. They also don’t let you in unless you have a swimsuit, my grandma was literally wearing an abaya and I tried to explain that she was not going to swim, just sit there and watch us. If zero stars was possible that’s what they would get

Thankful for being Banned on the first day for doing nothing wrong being too slow and then scared so badly by a police officer by having what was effectively a gun pulled on me and threatened to physically cast me out when I was already leaving as fast as I could. Diaz, who runs the place, oddly supports the officer’s opinion that I am some terrible person. Said “no” to that he doesn’t want to be involved. I will be asking every restaurant in this city, mark my words to never serve him food again. Not sure why officer #72 in Brooklyn was ever allowed to be posted here. This facility is emotionally unsafe and not a good place for children. Police are on their way today to take a statement. Officer #72 did me a favor by recording the entire thing. I think she was embarrassed by me attempting to escalate, I will make sure this entire town is aware of what they did to me. And I don’t have to because revenge belongs to God. He will repay, that’s what God said. Meanwhile I am taking every action necessary to mind my own business and maybe be a little faster so that random cops like offices like #72 don’t need to notice my slowness and feel the need to provoke me to fear and screaming and getting me banned from this place. It really doesn’t make any sense. Everyone had to leave because there was thunder, I am slow so I went as fast as I could and was one of the first people out of the pool. Don’t go to this pool if you happen to be a little too slow and would rather on-edge cops like officer #72 just let you leave instead of holding a gun to your head while you’re packing your bags, that’s what that felt like. Now I’m banned. Doesn’t make any sense. I feel so embarrassed because she made me scream in front of children. There is a recording of this event made by the officer #72 herself she’d better cover her bases because if she doesn’t she won’t ever be able to work in law enforcement again, or her ten generations following of her descendants. Please be kind to slow people. It’s not worth fighting over. I love you officer #72. Please be kind to stupid slow failure people like me who grew up physically abused in states where physical abuse by parents is illegal in Colorado. Not sure how they got away with it but here I am. CPS never took me away.

I love this place. I actually moved to Sunset more than a decade ago because of the pool and the diversity Sunset has to offer. It is a magical place.

Kids under 16 needs to be 8 inches above the maximum water depth in order to be allowed in. The height limit will be posted at the entrance of each pool.
The pools do not open on Memorial Day, but the beaches start on the day. Pools open first day after the schools close in June.
Admission is free, children under 18 must be accompanied by their parents. The rules are at the entrance of the pool.

Sunset Pool will be open through September 8th 2019. Everyone needs to wear a swimsuit. They may choose to check men's shorts for a lining if they can't tell if they are wearing a bathing suit. Want to cover up from the Sun? Throw on a plain white shirt or a white hat. They don't allow a shirt with colors. They also don't allow floaties. They rather you stay, or you and your smaller children stay at the shallow end of the pool u til everyone learns how to swim. You can try their free swimming classes. Babies and toddlers can wear swim diapers before they head into the water. They might have a place to put your stroller, but they can't keep an eye on it for you, so bring it at your own risk. The pool is wheelchair accessible.
It's free - the only thing you need to enter is a sturdy lock!

If you only going with your trunk and towel I don't think you need a lock.

No you allowed to bring any type of lock now
They open at 11am
One side of the pool is 4 feet (the highest) and the lowest is for kids but I'm not sure how deep it is because it's a platform with low water but not tto low. The second lowest is 3 feet and 6 inches for atleast 8-13 year olds
Once you've passed the entrance, you must go thru the locker area. There you leave your belongings. You must obtain a combination lock. Then you go this the pool area e where you have to wash up with soap and water before you enter the actual pool. Only white t-shirts are allowed to be worn over your bathing suit if you choose to wear something over your bathing suit. Only a clear water bottle in the pool area is allowed. Also, you cannot wear wet shoes inside the water/pool.

There are 2 public pool sessions daily, 11am-3pm & 4pm-7pm. Make sure you bring a lock & swim trucks with netting inside. Also flip flops, no sneakers allowed inside the pool area.

Yes.
Yes you can!
Yes. There's ladies who also like to wear an oversized white T-shirt that is also allowed.
This is a public outdoor pool so it's closed until public schools let out for summer. They don't do rentals, it's free to use but it's for everyone so there will be others including adults, teenagers & children. Also, there are a lot more rules with a public pool (no floaties, no balls or toys, no diving, no climbing on shoulders etc) so I second Kimesha above, better off finding a private pool.
No flotation devices allowed in this pool.
Yes
Maybe but you would have to seek it in without them knowing

It doesn't matter what kind of lock it is As long as it fits into the locker hole and u can't bring ur stuff on deck because they don't want garbage in the pool depending on what u have
You need a lock in order to get in.
U need a master padlock, ur swim suit or swimming shorts, a towel, no phones allowed, no colored shirts, only white shirt if U want to,a small bag if u don’t wanna hold anything, but make sure the bag is small becuase the lock is for the locker and the locker is soooo small.
