Big, clean pool. Not crowded. Well priced and staff was good. They require swimming caps. Timing for kids is could be improved. They have been closed now for over 2 years.

I used to love swimming here but since they opened after covid there's not as many lanes for lap swim set up so it gets REALLY crowded. There were 4 people to a lane today and I could barely even get a workout in.

Living locally on the island I have used this pool for many years. This place has consistently gotten worse. Days for “maintenance” which I’ve never seen at any other pool in NYC, cockroaches routinely either on the pool deck or lockers, and things that don’t work and don’t get fixed for long periods of time. For example, the seconds clock which is used for interval training while swimming laps has not been working for over a month now. When asked about it, they said they’re waiting for batteries. Some staff are rude and unprofessional. Some days they will temperature check you and others they will not. Also, the lifeguards don’t seem to know how to do their job (there’s a reason public safety officers are at the pool this summer) and I would definitely go to a different pool if my swimming or my kids swimming wasn’t good. In my opinion, this place needs a complete overhaul.

Please justify the area allocated for family activity, as there are less lap swimmers allowed in the pool for now. While the turn over of lap swimmers are much higher than the family events, can we split the line into this two categories? Thanks.

Yes. It's for kids too. Kids can play in 1/2 of the pool during family hours. Outside of the family hours kids, can swim in line although there might be a min age requirement. It's 3 or 4 feet deep in the shallow end.
Quite sure it's 25m
