Beautiful panel and battery install. Safe from PGE's shutoffs and I'm saving so much every month because of all this.

Questions & Answers

What does V3 need from me to get my solar process started?

Darcy Dabbs | Sep 7, 2021
Aaron Lomar | Sep 7, 2021

At minimum, really it's just your energy usage history. There's a credit check to see if you qualify for the program, which makes sense since the value of the system is rather substantial. My advice is to make sure you have a good amount of information on your usage history. The more information V3 has, the better they can build a system to meet your home's needs.

Can I go off the grid with V3?

Cary Donald | Sep 7, 2021
Tony Ruckus | Sep 7, 2021

You actually can't go off grid with any company. V3 does get you to a point where you don't pay PGE anything more than $10 a month. The solar makes enough power so you don't need to pull from PGE and if you have a battery backup, that's just extra peace of mind.

What happens if I have a crack in one of my panels?

So long as your agreement with V3 is active, they'll take care of repairs for the system. With their program, repairs and labor are all included.

My parents have a well on their property. Does anyone know if the batteries support that?

I have family with a well to their home too. They got powerwalls from V3 and it'll draw from the batteries if the grid goes down.

Is it best to purchase a solar system or go with V3's energy program?

Peter Windmoor | Sep 7, 2020
Glenda Knott | Sep 7, 2020

I know there's a lot of people that say to go with buying, but it really only makes sense if yo qualify for the benefits that come with buying a system. You need the tax appetite to use the tax credit. Myself and a lot of people I know don't meet this, so for a majority of people it makes most sense to go with the energy program. V3 offers monitoring and maintenance so you don't have to hassle with the upkeep yourself. Flat monthly rates and I've saved over $200 a month this year alone with my system.

Does V3 solar's system put a lien on your home?

Lorna McGinnis | Sep 7, 2020
Tony Ruckus | Sep 7, 2020

No lien on the home. I did a refi on my home a year ago. All I had to do was call V3 to let them know & I was able to get it all taken care of no problem. Liens are normally found when leasing a solar system. V3 doesn't lease - they're basically like a utility replacement for PGE. Really great concept.

What's included in V3's energy program?

Norma Maverick | Sep 7, 2020
Glenda Knott | Sep 7, 2020

V3 takes care of monitoring the performance of the system. You have access to the app to keep track, but they call and let you know when they detect any issues. On top of that, they send their technicians out to fix any issues. All repairs are free of cost in the V3 program. Basically it's all the benefits of having a system/battery without the personal hassle & frustration of owning one.
