We used the Pogo Pass (definitely worth it if you want to try out different activities around KC). It was a fun time, it’s similar to Wonderscope but obviously has science incorporated into the activities/exhibits. I probably wouldn’t bring a kid under 2 unless you had other kids with you, my almost 3 year old had fun though. Probably most fun for 4-10 years old. Could easily spend 3 hours here if you want to see everything. Close to crown center which is nice so you can make a day of it. If you park at crown center and don’t mind walking a little you can park for free (3 hrs free with validation slip, 6 hrs free if you spend $25 and get a slip from guest services), otherwise the union station garage does cost a little.

Our kids LOVED it here! The location is wonderful so close to so much. The amount of interactive displays is truly wonderful, there's something for all ages. You could spend a LOT of time here. Indoor/outdoor activities.

Wow! What a gem of a place. Kudos to the exhibit creators. Children of all ages & adults alike will find something amazing and interesting to see and learn about. Many reviews say 2 hours is enough - but you can easily spend 4+ hours, especially if you purchase a combo pass to include the planetarium. There were so many learning stations, sky bike, small animal exhibit, painting area, sand area, etc. I would highly recommend! We had 4 kids ages 5, 6, 7, & 10 with us and they all agreed this was a 5 star experience! Finally all staff members were friendly and interacted with the kids.

We've had a family pass to Science City off and on for the past few years, it's generally a pretty decent way to spend a Saturday afternoon out and about without worrying too much about the weather. The people there are generally pretty helpful and friendly, though really you're pretty much left to your own devices here. The things to be done don't change all that often, so as an adult one would tend to get bored here, but the kids have a good time. Union Station is pretty, but once again, once you've seen it....well, you've seen it. I can't say that I'd recommend eating here, it's expensive and I've never heard great things about the service.

$13.25 + taxes per person (over age of 2) , add $7.00 + taxes if you want to see the planetarium. Large groups can call ahead for discounts. Membership for a family of 2 is $75, 3-4 is $95, and 5-8 is $145. Membership affords discounts on various things like a 10% discount on the gift shop and 64% discount on planetarium tickets.
$13.45 for adults and children over 3 years and over. It's free if you're an Union station member. The parking is free for 30 minutes but after that it sky rockets to $5 dollars for 1 hour and then $10 dollars for 2 hours. You are better off finding a parking spot near by and walking to the union station.
Individual $55 Friends and family of 2 $75 Friends and family of 3 to 4 $95 Friends and family of 5 to 8 $145 I did the 3 to 4 for $95. We go to science city all the time. Definitely worth the money!
There’s not one posted but the line is pretty thick so I’d say it’s safe for adults
Yes you can, not a problem. The only place we restrict bags or purses is at the Auschwitz exhibition
Visited a week ago and there was no split sessions
Yes and there is a lot of fun activities
3 weeks ago I paid 13.25 per person and parking is $5 for every 2 hours. I paid $10 to park up to 4 hours. We spent about 3 hours at the Science Center.
As long as it's not super crowded like it is during spring break. There is an elevator.
Parking structure next to building...they also have a drop off area. Post office!!!
Days Inn, on 33rd st & Broadway Blvd.
Yup. Main floor across from Harvey's. There is a ticket office downstairs, though, if you are in need of assistance with booking. You can buy tickets online with QR code though, then go right in.
You can purchase year long memberships which allows admission to Science City for free plus special pricing and discounts for the planetarium, theatre, restaurants, and seasonal events. Website will direct you for further info and pricing. Union station.org
What Ben said! You can get in to tons of science centers around the country!
They have signs posted asking you to wear one if you're unvaccinated.
Teens won't admit they enjoyed it, but they do once they get involved.
They are closed monda
No, however sometimes it's free but you would havr to look at the dates that you can go in for free. I went last year in December without paying admintion.
I believe that as long as you have the wristband on your same day admission will allow exit and re entry
We were there a couple weeks ago it was closed for updates
Nope. Just discounts for ordering tickets online.
There is a link on their website with a download of all the reciprocal museums. They have to be at least 90 miles (as the crow flies) from your home & your membership museum. You also have to show your id & membership card.
Hi Heather, I'm not sure if you'll be able to use your Children's Discovery Museum pass to get into the Science City displays, but I think that you and your family members will enjoy the Dinosaurs exhibit at this point. The staff members constructed the Dinosaurs exhibit at Science City. I took my 7 year old daughter who had to travel from Denver on her Fall Break from elementary school, and she really enjoyed going to see the Dinosaur exhibit at Science City in early October of this year!.. :)
Science City is free but only if a Union Station Member. Otherwise, pricing is the same ($13.25) regardless of age.
We went with our 8 month old and she had a blast!
2 and under are free
Yes, but you can also get a family pass to Union Station. That allows unlimited entry for up to 4 people for one year, discounts to special events, and free or discounted enty to other museums across the country.
It costs $ 13.25 for adults, children under 3 years old are free
I was told no. For the safety of the children.
Yes. It's a $10 parking fee.
Do they count babies/ toddlers? Or are all ages charged whether they play or not
Yes! When you walk in its like you're in a spaceship
Yes. It's fun for all ages
If you convert the square footage of the building 850,000 sq.ft into miles you could walk approximately 160 miles. But you would look a little silly pacing the building like that... You could just map it to see how far it is from where you are too...
They have coat racks to hang coats up before entering
