I know...I know.. as a tourist you are supposed to wait in that extra long line for Cafe Dumonde beignets. But I don't like lines, especially in Nola sun, plus I honestly think these beignets are way better!! They have some sort of delicious praline cream on top, are super hot, crispy and light. You can also get regular or chocolate stuffed. Plus you will still be covered in head to toe with powdered sugar after one bite, a sure fire sign that this is the real Nola experience. Walk a little further past Jackson square and you'll be rewarded!

This is the spot to get beignets! Skip all the long lines at Cafe du Monde or Cafe Beignet. The chocolate and praline filled beignets are a must here!

Sweet potato cookie and sweet potato pie... oh.my.god! Yes! I'll be back for more pie in future trips. We also tried praline filled beignets. They were good, but I think I'd prefer just the regular (beignet purist here). But they definitely outdo Cafe Du Mond on beignets so skip that ugly line and go straight to the French market and stop at Loretta's.

Best beignets I had in all of New Orleans, the flavor is just *chef's kiss*. The praline was also yummy. I saw another review that said there's a praline stuffed beignet. If that's true, I regret not getting it and will have to visit the city again to get one! Make sure to get your beignets and pralines here!!
