Dinner here will be ine of the highlights of your trip to New Orleans. The price you pay is truly reflected in the quality of food and flavor. I brought a group of guys here as part of the bachelor party. Amongst all the crazy stories New Orleans has to offer, we still talk about how good the food was here. Between all of us we must have ordered ~75% of the menu and everyone loved what they ordered. The one thing that stood out above the rest was the bread pudding. Highly recommend saving room for dessert.

This was my favorite restaurant in the French Quarter. The history behind it is very intriguing. Ask about it. I recommend taking a tour upstairs, there is a very nice lounge area and balcony to overlook Jackson Square. We went for Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint. Travis was our waiter and offered outstanding customer service. I highly recommend.

Fantastic meal! It’s a great place to celebrate a birthday or other special occasion. The set meal is an awesome deal and all our choices were yummy. The bisque and grits were the best I’ve had this whole trip. The bread pudding was out of this world. It’s a place I’d definitely go to again next time I’m in town. The location is also fantastic and close to everything.

We had reservations for three and were seated promptly upon arriving. We had a food server, Andrew, and a drink server, Chanel. The restaurant was incredibly packed (4/22/22) so people watching was fun. We each ordered a cocktail and read through the menu. It took way too long to get our drinks almost 30 minutes. We also ordered a bottle of wine to have with dinner. Our food came out too fast actually before we even got our cocktails. Then I had to stop who appeared to be a manager and ask for our wine to come. He did bring it and did a nice job pouring and kept an eye on replenishing. The food was very good. Two had the soup special which was crab and asparagus. I had the spinach salad, it was fresh and just the right amount of salad dressing. For entrees we each had something different. I had the blackened red fish which was nice. The others had smoked oysters and the brussel slaw, both were good. We enjoyed the atmosphere and food just not the service. Although very pleasant, I did not feel engaged in anyway with either server. We were simply passers-by if you will. The cute hostess as we left was adorable and made up for some of that. I’m just glad the restaurants are back open and finding staff. I might return I might not.

Could be the house ghost??
Hello Belinda Digerolamo! Thank you for your interest in our restaurant. Our dress code is smart casual. Jeans are fine. We do ask that gentlemen remove their hats in the dining room. We also ask that gentlemen wear sleeves in the dining room. If guests would like to dress up for a special occasion, that is fine as well. Again, thank you for your interest in Muriel's. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you soon. Have a great day! --Denise Gratia, Director of Marketing
Walk!! While walking you would be surprised what you can see The basilica, the Cabildo, Pat Obrien The French Quarter is one square mile. I was 80 years old and walked for 4 days. Best exercise and most fun I have had in many years. I did it with my 4 sons and they still talk about it over 2 years later.

Hello Mr. Rutkowski. Thank you very much for your interest in our restaurant. We serve our entire menu at the bar. While we are coming up on French Quarter Fest, the bar may be quite busy, but there is usually availability, especially during non-peak times. Also, please note that the bar may look crowded at times, this is often due to guests acquiring cocktails to enjoy upstairs on the Balcony. Again, thank you very much for your interest in Muriel's. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you soon. Respectfully, Denise Gratia Director of Marketing
I would ask the proprietor.

Online schedule shows they are open every Monday from 11:30am to 10pm
The hallway upstairs is actually real gold leaf. Thank you for your question, Nicole Lavoie!
There are multiple levels and multiple rooms at Muriel's. Take time to see more than just the table they seat you at while youbare there! Ask them about their history - they have a LOT they can share!
There is an entire menu of gluten free items. If you go to the website www.muriels.com and select “menus” there is an option to see the gluten free menu (15 items for lunch and 8 items for dinner). Or when you go to the restaurant, simply ask the host or a server for the gluten free menu and they will bring a whole menu just for people eating gluten free. It is actually one of the most complete gluten free menus in the city.
Thank you for your interest in our restaurant, Mr. Winner. Our dress code is casual. Walking shorts are fine. The only thing we are truly sticklers about is that we require gentlemen to wear sleeves and remove their hats in the dining room. We do allow gentlemen to wear tank tops in the Courtyard and Bar. Again, thank you for your interest in Muriel's Jackson Square. We look forward to the opportunity to serve you soon. Have a great day! --Denise Gratia, Director of Marketing

Leave your car at the hotel. Walking is the ticket down there. There are streetcars, taxis, Uber and some little guys on bikes with carts that carry people as well. But driving your own car sown there ia going to be tough.
