Couldn't be more rude and unhelpful. Missouri DMVs are for profit businesses thats why they charge u a percentage to use credit cards.
Luca Ferrieri
I went in a couple days ago to switch my DL from my previous state to Missouri. I was told I needed my current DL and two forms with my SSN on it. I went and got those. I go back today only to be told I need my birth certificate, my passport, my SSN and two documents showing I currently live in Kansas City/Missouri. Staff is rude, or at least aloof and inconsiderate. DMVs are generally horrible anyways, but this one is by far the worst I've been to, regardless of the state.
Andrew Kuehler
If you come right when they open, and have all of the necessary documentation, it goes pretty smoothly. I was able to get out of there in about an hour. The woman who helped me was very nice and courteous.

If I could leave zero stars? I would. This place is genuinely terrible. Like so many others have stated, they're an incredibly small and understaffed establishment. You'd think a place as notorious for terrible wait times and lackluster service as DMVs often are, that they'd help themselves and at least have adequate staff, but nope. Not only that, the people staffed there currently are so nonchalant about their work. It's like they don't understand people have other things to do, so being fast and precise is required to make things run smoothly. I didn't choose your job, so I shouldn't have to suffer cause of your inability to be efficient and cordial.

Clearly you never went downtown
You can't anymore I miss that feature too you could get out of line and put yourself back in
No.
This is the way Mo State runs its offices. Expect long lines & to waste a lot of ur precious time. No one cares in the Mo State offices; they never have! It will not change--EVER, after all we r just citizens & only pay taxes--that's all!
You can get the papers on the MO DMV site, to transfer them to the new vehicle, and renew them.
Title or registration I’d Complete inspection within 60 days Valid car insurance
Proof of residency Social security card
Your utility bill with your name on it
I don't know if you have to take eye exam but you do have to take road sign exam.
Emmanuel Clever Blvd
Yes u can
Agreed
Every time I go they are constantly busy. seeing customers
The lines r always long & slow moving. Yes, it does take a very long time always. This has been an ongoing problem for yrs & it will not change because MO does not care about our time nor show respect for its citizens. Welcome to our Mo State services.
Bring a chair LOL you'll pull a ticket and have to wait outside. Once they get closer to your number, you'll be called inside to wait there
A bill of sales the title and property tax paper
You have to have proof that you are who you are, photo id,official mail with your current address on it from the last 30 days no later, change of a dress form from the post office, bank statement etc. Go into a local DMV take a number. It's 20 dollars for a new Liscensce for a missouri resident,I'm not sure out of state would be any different. Make ABSOLUTELY sure when you review your information at the DMV that it's correct! I made a mistake and had to go in 9 separate times over a month and a half to sort it out. Now everything I've told you is for a renewal of a Missouri driver's Liscensce,I'm not sure if out of state would be different. If you have to call Jeff City or change your adress online I now know how to do that to. I know way to much about the DMV. 😄
Yes
You'll need the original
You'll to go to the Jackson County on 12th St
You need to change your DL over to . You will need your certified birth certificate or a passport, proof of address and proof of ssn. They are not at the state building anymore. They have moved down on clever Blvd by gates and sons bbq.
Yes, I believe it's the last Saturday of the month.
Download the qless app.
Young man good morning to you and your family. Find out what the DMV needs from you to make the changes from KCK to where you going to live. Because it's going to change, every state is different. Call them ahead just to make sure you understand.
No appointment needed
It cost the same as a updated one.
I noticed that when I looked up the DMV there is an indicator that tells which hours is best to visit. I believe this feature is in google maps
1. expired driver's license and proof of address within 30 days. 2. Social Security card and proof of address within 30 days.
Tell the person at the door, that you need to apply for a lost title. On 47th st you will get a number, before going in. Have paper work showing that your vehicle is in your name, & paid off.
Yes Gissel . Make sure you have each form of proper ID that the KC DMV need for you & don't forget to Smile in your ID photo.
Don't take anything personally. They deal with a lot of people, some of which probably are not so nice.
You can't reach anyone to make an appointment. Arrive early before opening. The line gets very long. Service was quick.

No, you got to take a number in the category that you need.
I don't think it should cost no more than twenty. But I only renewed my permit there twice so that's whole other topic. They should accept checks. I don't see why not.
Get there early if you can
You can also go to Municipal Court at 11th Locust
Yes
U r right! no one ever answers--EVER. U cannot leave a message either--NEVER! Very frustrating & infuriating. There seems to be no other options for anyone trying to get help!
On their website or the have a app u can use
Theres a processing fee, license fee (several choices 1, 3 or permanent tag) and you need to have your taxes statement with you. It varies based on thoseypu can go to any Missouri dmv office. And yes walk in, with mask, get number and then wait outside. I was there Monday
In trying to leave a recorded message, u will always get that response no matter what time u call. Forget about anyone answering ur call--they DON'T EVER! This is the best Mo State can do for its citizens, REALLY! It has been this way for yrs & it will never change!
Start by searching KCMO.gov for more information
Go to kcmo.gov motor vehicles for more information.
No you dont. You get a number at the door and you wait outside till they call your number. I suggest you go early, b4 they open if you can but its still a little line
You can not test for driver's license at all at the DMV. You will have to go to a different location. The highway patrol has a location in Raytown where you can take both the written and driving test. They are located in a building on Blue Ridge and 63rd street. In Kansas City you may have to go downtown. Study booklets are only available at the driving schools.
They are closed today
Yes they do they open at 7:30 am on Thursday only. 8am all other days
Proof of social security number and proof of address.

You can just go in with your info to renew them.
Can I get my ID
Don't know. You'll need to call them since they're no longer in the State Building
You'll need to have it with you.
Get a power of attorney form. They need to sign the application
Should have.
Just apply in Kansas. Don't know what they charge.
Kcmo is temporarily closed.
Yes
You'll need to go to the court house off of 12th st in downtown KCMO, tell them that you just moved to MO, they'll give you a paper. Take it to 615 E 13th st along with your drivers license, insurance, title, also you'll need a car inspection. Let know you just moved to MO & that you want to register your vehicle.
To take the written test you'll go to the ground floor next to the security desk.
At any DMV, just pick one that's convenient to you. Olathe DMV - 20162 W 151st, Excelsior Springs 115 Crown Hill Rd, Kansas City, 615 E 13th St Are 111, North Kansas City 2421 Burlington St Are B or 2600 Burlington, Kansas City KS 300 N 17th St, Independence 11525 E US 24, Grandview 1200 Main St.
Bring proof of residence and another for of I'd like ss card or birth certificate
Yes, they'll need a birth certificate, social security card for sure; but maybe a student ID too. Just make sure you you go with them.
No it has to be the original per State procedure.
If you didn't purchase the car from a dealership, you can take the notarize bill of sale and title to the DMV to get a 30 day temp. But if the person signed in the wrong spot on the title and you scratched over it, It might voided the title and the original owner might have to send off for a new one. Just ask when you go to get a temp.
SS card and proof of residence, like a utility bill.
You can get information about your license status by ordering your driving record at any Missouri DMV office, or by calling (573) 526-2407.
$7.50 per year that the driver's license will be valid, so $7.50 for one year, $15 for 2 years, etc, unless something has changed recently.
Fill out for a lost or stolen title..
Yes. When buying a new vehicle in MO, you have 30 days to register it or risk late fees. You must submit the paperwork in person at your local licensing office, regardless of whether the vehicle has been purchased from a dealer or from a private individual. To register your vehicle, submit the following to yourclosest licensing office: Documents showing vehicle ownership: Properly completed title certificate (for used cars from a dealership or a private party). Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (for new cars from a dealership). Application for Missouri Title and License (Form DOR-108). For out-of-state vehicles, provide the VIN and odometer inspection certificates. A current safety inspection from a Missouri authorized inspection station (like Valvoline) will cover this requirement.
You will proof of presidency
Ss card birth certificate and proof of address plus 15 dollars maybe an ID with ur pic on it to be safe
